We did Park Fare on the first night of our honeymoon (we stayed at the GF, so it made it easy). I'd kind of forgotten about that one! About my only memory of that meal is that they had to send out to one of the other restaurants/bars for a gin and tonic. I guess liquor is not a popular option at the character meals!momeja wrote:

I'm surprised they wouldn't have gin and tonic there. That's a pretty standard drink...I'm also surprised more parents don't drink at character mealsBrian845 wrote:We did Park Fare on the first night of our honeymoon (we stayed at the GF, so it made it easy). Hah! good point. Never thought of that. Maybe character meals would be easier for parents to endure if they had an open bar.Amy wrote:I'm surprised they wouldn't have gin and tonic there. Crystal Palace is always going to be #1.
#2 and #3 are neck and neck, they are O'hana and The Garden Grill.

I used to love the Liberty Tree Tavern one, before it closed. A funny story though. Once we were there and were in the same room with a family who was being filmed for a WDW Travel Channel show. Since they were filming, it took several takes. Because of this, the characters had to keep going back to the family's table. In the meantime, the characters would circle around the room again. We probably saw each character 3 times. At some point it was just like, ok Chip and Dale, I'm sick of you now, let me eat!

I loved the Cinderella's Round Table breakfast with all of the princesses! Crystal Palace is very nice. I have also done Donald's Safari Breakfast at Tusker House, that was nice for something a little different than the other breakfasts. I've never done Chef Mickey's but it's definitely on my list of 'to dos'!

How fun to be able to see the commercial being filmed. At least you can't say you didn't get your money's worth out of character interaction on that mealjunebug1233 wrote:I used to love the Liberty Tree Tavern one, before it closed. A funny story though. We've only done Crystal Palace and have done it twice. We probably won't be doing it again. We debated doing the Tusker House. I think I would like to do something different next time. I'm glad this thread is here so I can get some ideas.

Re: What Character Meal is your personal favorite?
Oh yes, I'm sorry, we like it, it was just kind of a busy time for us this last time. We were there with our kids, two of which are 3 and 1 so it was just kind of a busy for us as far as eating, taking pictures, etc., not the restaurant in anyway. The restaurant was great! As I'm typing this I did realize that we were able to get into the Magic Kingdom early and take pics so we might have to rethink us not going there againfigmentaholic wrote:mjmcsl4me wrote:We've only done Crystal Palace and have done it twice.
