Re: Favorite Counter Service meals at WDW?
Quick-service doesn't usually stand out in my mind but here's what I've done / tried:
Magic Kingdom
2001 - the sandwich shop by the river boats. I forget what it's called. Anyway, we liked it ok. Nothing exciting.
2008 - Pecos Bill - LOVE it!
2010 - Lunching Pad - not bad. Not great. Definitely acceptable.
Animal Kingdom
2001, 2008, 2010 - Flame Tree BBQ - YUM. What can I say, when we've been to the same restaurant all three trips, we love it.
Saratoga Springs
2010- we had a good lunch in their cafe'. It wasn't remarkably memorable but it was good.
Hollywood Studios
2008 - Pizza Planet - the pizza was just ok but the girls, who were 13 and 9 at the time, really enjoyed the atmosphere. Plus, the location was convenient without having to walk back and forth to a lot of places.

Where is that located? Sounds like maybe Morocco?agingerbugg wrote:Every time we are in EPCOT, we always do lunch at the Tangerine Cafe. Dinner is always somewhere different, but DSO insists that we go there for lunch.

Yes, it is in Morocco. If you are facing the pavilion it is on the front right side. The chicken wrap is delicious!Amy wrote:Where is that located? It's very similar to a Greek gyro. They are accomodating if there's anything you don't want on the wrap. I hope you enjoy it if you give it a try!

MK-Love the atmosphere of Pecos Bills, and the food is always good! Over the years I have had my fav meals, and i'm always a bit disappointed when they are replaced, but I always find another
There is one room with a tiled staircase, and lots of flowers, that I always have to sit in
Also love Columbia Harbour House as well!
EC-Have always loved "Sunshine Food Fair" in the Land. All the choices always keep everyone happy
HS- Love, love "the Backlot", the atmosphere and the food. We always liked to find a really funky spot with unusual props
AK- PIZZAFARI!!! Great food, and amazing murals
BEAUTIFUL!!
Resorts-Haven't had the pleasure of checking out to many...
BW- Spoodles pizza is delish!
CB- Way back in '96, the food court was amazing! Great variety.
BC-Hurricane Hanna's '03, delicious wraps, and what could be better than enjoying the view of that gorgeous pool

I first read this as a "tilted" staircase and I was thinking to myself that would be challenging to climbSharonofwindham wrote:There is one room with a tiled staircase, and lots of flowers, that I always have to sit in![]()

We'll have to look for it this time around. We ate there only once on our past trip and we sat outside with NaCler's Momma while the rest of the group went over to Pirates...Sharonofwindham wrote:Amy wrote:I first read this as a "tilted" staircase and I was thinking to myself that would be challenging to climbSharonofwindham wrote:There is one room with a tiled staircase, and lots of flowers, that I always have to sit in![]()

It's a new attraction don't ya know! If you can make it all the way to the top, your meal is on the house! Have you seen this room though? It sort of gives you the feel of eating at a cafe on a street in a Spanish village

Not only is their food delicious, but I always catch myself listening to the background music from that area in the park. Love it.Amy wrote:We love, love, love the Flame Tree BBQ at the Animal Kingdom....

I'd like to add that the french fries are amazing there. It's also really fun to sit and eat right when one of the Indiana Jones shows is going on. You're just casually eating a burger and a huge explosion erupts in the background. Love it.Sharonofwindham wrote: HS- Love, love "the Backlot", the atmosphere and the food. I love Pecos Bills, not for the food so much as the family memories I have there. As far as food quality and taste goes its definitely Flame tree BBQ and Sunshine Seasons at the top of my list.

Pecos Bills was so loud this past trip! It is a good place to eat when you can sit outside, but it just ended up hurting my ears this time aroundnorthernmousefan2007 wrote:I love Pecos Bills, not for the food so much as the family memories I have there.
