If you want...you can go checkout Martin's tribute to DHS. It'll be a nice journey through what DHS used to be (Disney-MGM Studios) and how things have changed since the park opened.BuDz211 wrote:I remember going on the Backlot Tour in the early 90's and it was great. Do they at least still have Catastrophe Canyon and the part where they dump gallons of water on the captain in the raincoat?
Help me remember a ride, please!

Well, the parts I mentioned were my favorite parts of the tour, so at least there's that.Amy wrote: Yup, those two show elements have survived. And you walk through the prop warehouse between the war/water scene before you board the trams. Once on the trams, they run you through the costuming and shop sections in the tunnels. And you see some props alongside the road, but you lo longer go through the residential streets.
Thanks for the tip. I will definitely check that out!theBIGyowski wrote: If you want...you can go checkout Martin's tribute to DHS. It'll be a nice journey through what DHS used to be (Disney-MGM Studios) and how things have changed since the park opened.

The only backstage areas that were shown to guests anywhere on property were on the Backstage Tour at the Studios. I used to work with Lighting and Grip and it was a little strange knowing that everyone was watching you work all the time. Can you imagine if you had hundreds of people riding through your workplace taking pictures of you all day long?
