Re: Duffy Meet and Greet???
remembering all the excited anticipation posted in this thread, i figured you'd all be eager for more info as it develops. although not exactly hot off the presses (i just noticed it this morning), here's some (new?) news from wdwinfo:
Update: Duffy will also be joining the cast at Epcot on October 14. Construction is underway on a meet-and-greet location east of Showcase Plaza for Duffy, where guests will receive a "I just hugged Duffy the Disney Bear" sticker after meeting the bear for the first time. The Towers East gift shop will sell Duffy merchandise of all varieties. Not only will the stuffed plush bears be available, but also mugs, magnets, keychains and snacks. Guests will be able to purchase outfits for their bears, including costumes representing the different countries of Epcot. Later this year, there will be photo op stations set up around World Showcase inviting guests to pose with their bears. The current masks at the Kidcot locations will be replaced with outlines of Duffy for kids to color and decorate. Disney Hotels will feature a Duffy cartoon TV and he will even make an appearance in the Disney Parks Christmas Day parade.

Ummm, whoopie?!? Not buying into the Duffy madness. Glad I don't have kids that would really have to have him either. I'm thinking the bear and accessories could start adding up fast!

Are you sorta glad you are traveling without your kids this time? I'm guessing at least one would say, "Daddy! I want a bear like Duffy! Please, can I have it? Can I? Can I? Can I huh?!?!?NaCler wrote:*insert Jacca's sword in the chest graphic here*

Amy - That is what I fear from my little girl as she is still in the fluffy teddy bear stage. The good thing is I don't think they will get back to WDW for a while. HOPEFULLY the Disney purists will have Duffy booted out by then!

Amy - Nope, won't work. G-ma is a Disney purist also. That's why it was fine to have this Mother/Son trip without any g-kids. It's been so long since we've been on the CoP... Can't wait. Even "DUFFY, the shoved down the throat bear" can't ruin this trip.

Wonder how many people will walk by and spit on him...? Not that I'm hoping for that or anything.... I'm not like that... really I'm not....
Oh, and Amy: you're just pure evil, Chica! Good thing G-ma is a purist!

Sure, why not?Jacca5660 wrote:I'd bet Wizard has a recipe and you have a wine pairing to go with it!!Mousekedude wrote:Once I meet him, I'm sure I'll love him too..... if he tastes like chicken.
(hmmmm.... let me see... what goes with bear meat...? I know! A 2008 Allegrini Palazzo della Torre! Perfect..... unless he does taste like chicken, then I may have to switch to a 2007 Cakebread Cellars Chardonnay.... if I can still find that vintage.)

Re: Duffy Meet and Greet???
When we are done with the Beverly maybe we can all get together for a Mayhem Marauders picture with Duffy... (especially if we are all feeling sick!) I'd have to make that my new avatar...
