I think it should go near animation courtyard, I know there isnt really room but I like it better over there than mucking up the tower of terror view on the way over.mindflipper wrote:I don't think it's ugly - just misplaced. , voted to get rid of the hat, but I'd be OK if they just moved it.like to the Animation Court area. It just doesn't fit into the Hollywood street scene.

I had to really think about this one because I kinda like the hat. But after some careful thought, I decided that it doesn't really fit the "decor", at least not in that area. That area is designed overall to reflect the glory days of early Hollywood and the great movies of the past. Yes, the Sorcerer's Apprentice is a classic Disney movie, but not in the same genre as the rest of the whole Hollywood theme of that part of the park. I agree that it would be more appropriate as a gateway to Fantasmic..... or just get rid of it if there's no practical way to move and place it there.

It's my understanding that the hat was put in to give the park a central icon/focal point along the lines of the MK Castle, EPCOT geosphere, and AK Tree of Life. I always thought that the ear-ful tower was the key point for studios though. Either way, I really don't like the hat. I don't think it matches the Hollywood/Movies theme of the park, and to me, it screams merchandising.

The Hat should be in another area, it blocks the Theatre. I always thought they should've made the Earful Tower the parks "icon". I'm with you on that one Jacca.

I agree with you all who said the hat should be moved to the animation courtyard. As far as GMR, it's one of our fav's in the park!
