So I am wondering if when we book our honeymoon if I should bank on having them upgrade us...... becasue it sounds like this is a common thing on honeymoons. But on the other hand if they dont can i always upgrade when we get there?

I was looking at the one bedroom villas at OKW... has anyone stayed there?

It depends when you go and the availability. I would say it is more likely to happen during value season but there is no guarantee.

Honestly, you should be prepared to stay in whatever you book. Upgrades are random and if you build it up in your mind that it's going to happen and then it doesn't, you're just going to be disappointed. We got engaged at Epcot, wore pins for it all week, and only got one comment on a week long trip. On the other hand, we were just there two weeks ago just on vacation, not celebrating anything, and got upgraded from garden view to concierge level. It's totally random. While they might try to do something special, they might not have anything available or maybe the person checking you in is a grumpy Scrooge that doesn't believe in love. If you want a particular type of room, then the best thing to do is book it.
Can't wait to take my twin boys on their first trip to Walt Disney World! Planning on heading there sometime Feb-May 2014!

So far, the best resort I've stayed at has been Port Orleans French Quarter. Nice and quiet for being so close to the pool and lobby. Not to mention the walking trail that goes to PO-Riverside and the boat ride to Downtown Disney.

Weirdness is compatible with ours,
We join up with them and fall in
Mutual weirdness and call it Love.”

Havne't seen anything yet. Yesterday, just for the heck of it, I tried to check prices for Feb/Mar of 2011 and they're only booking for Dec. 31 so far. But, I know if I were to call they could do it. So, I don't know if you called if they could give you that info.

I think you can book for next year by calling and it would be under this year's rates. I honestly think the rates for next year will finally come out around September. It usually falls within the timeframe of when they announce the next celebration.

Can you really do that Len?! I was always under the impression that you'd have to pay for the pricing of that year you're going?! Ineresting!

I would guess you pay the rates that are currently in effect when you are booking the dates. I don't know that I have ever booked in a different year than when I traveled though...

The only time we've book not in the current year was when we were running the Disney 1/2. That was in '05 though and I honestly can't remember which rate we were charged?!?!?!

Anyone know this?!

You are right. If you book it now, your down payment will be based on this year's rates, but you won't pay that rate ultimately - they will adjust it once the new rates come out.
