My oldest likes to try to quiz me on what locations/shows/rides the music comes from.

I just joined the forum today, though, after reading it and realizing that, unlike most WDW forums, it's not filled with a bunch of people complaining about why they think Disney stinks. :D
You are correct - not much complaining going on here, and because it's a somewhat small group of posters (for now, anyway) you'll recoginize their responses, and actually get a feel for what they are like! :D Feels kinda like a small Disney-aholic Family  So, how do you like getting to request the kind of music you want to hear - neat isn't it?!

I haven't even had a chance to try it, yet! But it's probably the coolest concept I've ever seen on a site: rewards for participation. :)

I can see why this would get addictive, though. You sort of get in the Disney mood listening to the music while you chat on the forums, and the music keeps you going with that "just one more song" sort of thing.

Thanks, again for the warm welcome, too! That's the sort of thing that makes a person stick around! :D

Welcome to the forums. As lovesdisney44 said, you'll like the forums because right now, participation is still quite low.

Just keep these things in mind as you're posting (a friendly word from your neighborhood moderators):

Try to keep the threads on-topic. If you start to stray off (for whatever reason), get things back on track.

Also, realize that the forums are not a chat room. While we do encourage posting (and you get the reword of points for requesting), we do not want to see multiple posts in a single thread in a very short amount of time.We do have a chat room here on the site (requires either java or an irc client). Please utilize those. There may even be rewards in there.

Gotcha! Thanks for the welcome (and the info)!

So, are there specific times when the traffic is higher? For example, summer? When people are preparing for vacation, and trying to get themselves psyched up?

Hmmm... And I think I just got things off topic. Sorry about that! :D

My wife and I bought season passes, ( not the annual, couldn't afford it ) and until the black out dates occur we go at least twice a month. I'm a huge Disney fan, and just love the magic about Disney World. Something about the minute I step through the gates lets me forget all about my troubles.

You don't want those annual passes anyway! In my book, the balckouts perfectly identify the dates you DON'T want to be there. :D Too many people, too hot, etc... Save the extra money for eating at the Boma. -Drool-

Pueblo.. you hit the mark with this... It the reason why Disney is the happiest place on earth for me. I get to be a kid without people starring at me... well ok they stare but not as much :D

I grew up in Miami so Disney was always our vacation spot. We went at least once a year, sometimes twice. Other times with school or youth group. Missed a couple years in the early 90's but again once a year with my husband since 95. All in all, around 40 visits to WDW. And I can't wait to go back each time!

I know, doesn't it seem like the more times you go, the more things you want to do/see the next time? Re-visit your favorite rides, go through the parks at a more leisurly rate - not so rushed? We've only been about 7 times since adults (10 times total) and can never get enough Disney! :D

Growing up in CA, it wasn't easy to get out to WDW a whole lot, but I'm currently planning my sixth trip... went with family when I was 12, 17, and 23 (including DCL that trip), and went twice last year, once in November while in Orlando on business, and again for my 25th birthday in December... going again for my 26th in December this year, and bringing along the little lady (the last two trips were solos)... can't wait!

I can't recall just how many times I have been to disney, but I know that we went on vacation every year from age 2-17 and then I did not go again till I moved down here last year. In the past year I have been to Disney about 7 times. Some of my family are Disney addicts and come to Disney at least once every three months so I just meet them. there. Not that I nee an excuse to go to WDW. Then again maybe I am subconsciously becoming a Disney addict. Well if your going to be addicted to something in this day and age, might as well be disney.

Disney World Visits

I also would say that I have been to Disney World more times than I can put a number to. I used to go on an annual basis with a youth group when I was growing up in Georgia. I know it probably wasn't in excess of 12 times though.

I have been to WDW 8 times. Six of them in the last 10 years. Going back for number 9 February 2006. Since my parents bought a winter home an hour north of WDW I'm sure it won't be the last time our family goes!!
