We were there in late August, many schools in Florida were closed with the flu but we did what we always do.... wash hands alot, use purel all the time, take vitamin C since we were flying to boost our immune system. You should be fine, no worse off than anywhere else right now.

We were there the last week of August too and no one got sick. My son is fighting another ear infection though and his allergies are acting up I feel bad when he coughs because I know people are thinking he is sick with the flu and he is not.

That could be helpful at the end of the day when you are waiting for the monorail. No one is going to want to share a car with you if they think you are sick...

Went to WDW in May, came home and I got sick within 3 days. Went to WDW again in August, came home and got sick again. Some kind of flu both times. We used hand sanitizer CONSTANTLY. And were aware of where our hands had been and washed and sanitized accordingly. It didn't seem to matter, so many things are airborne. This is the sickest my family has been in years with regards to cold and flu. But was negative for Swine both times.

Thanks, kcarts, for the link. Some might think they're doing too little, some not enough, and others may think its useless - but its better than doing nothing at all. Now that I know the hand sanitizers are there I will probably use them when I am there in December.

Yeah it is a step, but the best thing is to wash with soap and water and to not rub your eyes, or put your fingers in your mouth.

I'm still a nail biter. Tough to try and not biting my nails.

I still can't get that sneezing into your elbow thing down. I use hand sanitizer all day long!

Yeh, and if you're wearing a long-sleeve shirt or a coat/jacket, nothing is more sanitary than creating a small virus colony on your own clothing!  :?:

I read somewhere that only 0.018% of the people who contracted H1N1 have died from it. I'm glad people are taking personal sanitation more seriously, but this is not the Ebola-like pandemic that people are making it out to be, IMO.
