You get to bring back one extinct attraction for one day.

I would have to say Horizons and WOM. Horizons mainly because I don't think I appreciated it as much when it was around mainly because I wasn't as obsessed over Disney as I am now. Most of my memories from Horizons are from watching the many many tribute videos of it available online. And I barely remember WoM, I would also like to give that a proper goodbye.
Does the Original Journey into Imagination even count as an extinct attraction?

I know this is probably your first flight...and it's mine too...ha, ha
Rain upon that planet Earth. And they rain ... and rain ... and rain. The deluge.

I think the one I'd bring back would be an obvious choice for me. The Original Journey into Imagination. I first saw this ride when I was a small child, and it actually had a impact on my young mind, and still continues to in my life today.
When WDW Butchers an attraction as bad as it did to the Original Journey into Imagination I have to consider that poor attraction Extinct!

Ditto on WoM and Horizons!!! I don't remember either, as WoM was closed by 1997 and Horizons.... well, I can't remember if it was open year-round then or just seasonal (this was in March).packwingfn wrote:I would have to say Horizons and WOM. Fountains at Imagination
Yes, the upstairs was always great fun:)disneylizzy wrote:I'd bring back the games in the upstairs of the Imagination Ride.
I'll it's just dead space up there now
Does anyone know if they changed the "jumping" fountains outdoors? I seem to remember being able to stand under the jumping water (or in front of it), but the last time we went there the fountains were all enclosed in big planters...Maybe I'm misrembering the layout from 24 years ago?

The fountains are still there, they are in planters...I think that is the original layout, but I could be wrong.Brian845 wrote:Yes, the upstairs was always great fun:)disneylizzy wrote:I'd bring back the games in the upstairs of the Imagination Ride.

Just an update on the upstairs of Imagination. I went on the "unDISCOVERed Future World" tour yesterday and they took us up to the Imagination upstairs.
The pin tables are all still there & the guide said that the rainbow tunnel was also there (we didn't see it) -- such a waste, it is a great view point from up there, seeing it all still there but closed was kinda sad

Wow.... so the stuff from the room is still there? That's a bit depressing.disneylizzy wrote:

Closing the upstairs ImageWorks was such a dumb thing to do. My biggest wish is that Apple would take over sponsorship of that pavilion and fill the ImageWorks with cool stuff. I'm sure it'll never happen; it's not the kind of thing Steve Jobs would spend money on. But it would be cool.
I really loved the "balcony" outside the ImageWorks, it offered such a great view of the park!

Now there's an idea!!! I like that!!!!! Now if we can just get Nintendo to sponsor WoL and fill the place with ultra-fit things like Wiis we'll be in shape (except for the Horizons dilemma..... but someday, perhaps)!Future Guy wrote:Closing the upstairs ImageWorks was such a dumb thing to do. Yep, all of it is still up there...probably a few things have been moved or re-used in other places - it was hard to tell b/c nothing was operational - but just like River Country and other Disney projects (like the additional building at the Pop Century resort) they just left the mess there & didn't disassemble it or anything.Soarin08 wrote: Wow.... so the stuff from the room is still there? It was a little sad, but I'm still glad I got to go up to the top of the pavillion b/c I didn't remember the view from up there. That space would be a neat place for another attraction or even a restaurant.
