Contrary to what's going on here right now, all I was asking was what's written above. Like I said in an earlier post "HYPERSENSITIVE!". OY! Lighgten up everyone! Smile :D this is a Disney board with music....how cool is that! :goofy_bounce: :mickey3:  :nemo:
Probably no way to tell until Disney releases some info on it. I would say he would be there coming July.

I just checked the rehab schedule and it is indeed closed until July 1st. Slight discrepancy with that article which gave a date of July 4th. Nevertheless I agree with Len90. He could be there, he could be in a workshop in pieces. No way to know for sure until it reopens.

Understandable on opening it up on July 1st. July 4th is a Saturday so you would want to have it open before then so more guests can see it for the 4th of July weekend.

no more talk of politics or who we voted for. We all (by now) know who won and who lost. We do not want any kind of flame wars going on because of different political views. That's why we stopped this same thing while the election was going on.

any more posts about who we voted for or why will be immediately deleted.

Interesting thought. Do you (all - not just jenhen) think they would have started rough sculptures of both Obama and McCain earlier last year, or would they wait until there was a winner? I know the original sculptor of the others isn't doing Obama's noggin', as he's too old, but his protege has taken over.

I would go with they wait for a winner. It can't take that long to fab a exoskeleton; and the voice (should they use Obama's) can't take that long to record either.

No matter what, The Hall of Presidents should be seen by everyone! I think George W. Bush was great! The American people should take pride in their country and we should be proud that we are free!!!

I don't know how you make an animatronic but I imagine that they can just take a mold of his face so I would think they would wait until there is a winner. I assume the rest of it is just based of height and weight dimensions and is not necessarily a replica so that could have already been in progress.

and just like that .... derailed...

Does anyone know if they actually attempt to replicate all the parts you see? I think that would only be the head and hands. So does Disney do a cast of the head and the hands or are they generic hands?

Oh and thanks Jimminy, I have It's fun to be free stuck in my head now lol..

Bumping this thread back up since the Hall has reopened...

Has anyone seen the show in person yet? AllEars has some interesting stuff on the updating of the attraction over here. I've heard from a lot of places that the Obama figure isn't quite as lifelike as some (most?) of the older presidents. Looking at the Youtube footage they have in that article, I'm inclined to agree with that, but I'm prepared to reserve judgment 'til I see it in person.

Everyone else looks less dusty, though, which is nice. ;)
