I think a lot of major rehabs will be on hold until Disney sees how the economy will effect the tourist business.

I think it is in need of an overhaul. I mean not to take away from what it is but to add to it. Update the shooting stars and whatnot overhead. Maybe upgrade the launching and return areas slightly. Maybe upgrade the que area/gang way. I'd hate to see it candy coated like they did with Alien Encounter. *shudder*

New fresh Space Mountain that is still the classic......yes!

Just so long as it stays open through Christmas I'm good. :D I've NEVER been able to ride so I'm excited!

People keep talking about upgrading the soundtrack and visuals....there's a soundtrack to this ride? And isn't it in the pitch (or almost pitch) darkness? Are the visuals being referred to the launch sequence and the asteroids projected on the roof? Once in the actual ride you really don't even see the visuals. They better not change that blue tunnel though, I love that. And what's the soundtrack? The only on ride sounds I can recall is that mega-man like power-up noise in the blue tunnel and the explosion of re-entry in the red tunnel.
if you're suggesting they change the queue music I will see to it that a bunch of ghosts follow you home...really. :hm_ghost:

it's called the Tomorrowland Transit Authority. The cars are different than the ones that Disneyland used to have, but it does go around Tomorrowland and highlights different attractions as you go past.

It may be spelled Tomorrowland Transit Authority, but it's pronounced Peoplemover.

The Peoplemover was developed by WED Enterprises and is sold by WED Transportation Services, Inc. (They still maintain all the transportation systems of WDW, I am not sure if they do DLR as well). The WED comes from Walter Elias Disney. There is only one WEDWay Peoplemover outside of a Disney park at the George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston. The peoplemover along with the monorail were going to be the heart of the transportation system of Progress City, or more commonly known as EPCOT.

Wow I bet that was cool! I want to ride the TTA (aka Peoplemover  ) in hopes Space Mountain will break down and I can see what you did. I think that would be pretty awesome!
