That would be parkhopper26 a few posts back.

By the way, I agree with figment about the Living with the Land ride. Taking out the guides totally changed the ride and I will miss the human element of this attraction for sure. I understand why Disney did this but that does not mean I agree with it.

The recordings add consistency, and some of the human guides were pretty lame, but you can't ask the machine questions.

Given the employee situation, I can understand it, but it's kind of sad.

It's clearly just an easy way to save money, but there's at least an argument to be made for this change.

I thought that there was already enough recorded narration and the guides kind of broke that up and made it a more interactive experience. I never had a bad guide on this attraction and was just a little surprised to see them gone on my last trip.

to be honest if you want the human aspect, just take the behind the seeds tour. It's cheap and isn't all that long. I even got to sample the mickey cucumbers!

AHA... now I can see it from Disney's perspective, it was more than cutting down on employee costs... it now forces us to PAY to ask questions we could once ask for park admission price.

Not really, this tour goes way beyond the ride. It's a small intimate group. You get to see much more than the ride allows, plus you get to feel, taste and smell a lot of the produce up close. The tour was only $10 or so with a Disney Visa credit card. Granted the tour is between 1-1 1/2 hours, but if you have the time, it's a must see! If anything, bring back the old song!!..."Just make believe, you're a tiny little seed..."

I've been on the tour and it is excellent, but it's only for the hardcore Disney fan who has time to spare. It's nice for kids (and science nerds like myself) riding casually to have the opportunity to ask questions.

I've always loved the land, even more so since the rehab and addition of soarin' - just think it would be nice to bring the flower and garden festival inside the land as wellas outside?

Living with the Land is the best. At first I was disappointed when the live guides were dropped, but as some have mentioned, it is easier to understand the tape. It wasn't like the guides veered from their script, so what's the difference?

I love hearing about the 90lb jackfruit. Is that good? I have no frame of reference. A 9 lb lemon, now there is something meaningful.

I love the Land. Soarin' is a great addition, but I really enjoy Living with the Land. I just keep missing the Behind the Seeds tour that Yodi mentioned.

THe best by far is Soarin'. It has the longest wait times, and that usually is the best indicator.

My DW thinks I'm a GEEK. Living with the land is one of my favorite rides. I did like it better with a live host.
