gift cards can only be used at sit downs and gift shops, and yes they expire...disneyh dollars on the otherhand can be used anywhere on disney property, as long as its owned by disney, ice cream stands, hotels, everywhere, plus they dont expire, in fact they can actually gain value...you wouldnt be able to take an old $5 and use it for something $10, but a collector can buy it from you for that much depending on which bill ti is, there are price guides dedicated just to them.
