what attraction was this that he created with a gift shop at the end? I was unaware that he did that...

I, too, am glad this ride is getting a refurb. Personally, I'd rather they take their time and do it right rather than merely "patching" the problem. We'll be there in October, so I hope things are ready by then, but if not, we'll wait 'till next year.

I know my family is coming, either this year or next, and it will be their first visit. I would love them to be blown away by this attraction the first time they ride it. I know I was the first time I rode it.

That was in the show about Walt over in MGM. They said how before Disney no one thought of putting a gift shop at the end of a ride. One of the people interviewed even joked about it.

I have to say they need to work on the HM. Several people have talked about the Grave Yard scene, you can see the folds, splits and rips in the "haze" curtains there. They really need to get in there and do some work.

I would also like them to fix Madam Lelota's Crystal Ball. According to sources, I think it was a book by one of the imagneers, that table can move, but they had trouble with the optics when it was on.

Holy smokes does it need it bad - last Wednesday when I rode it our Doombuggy had no sound for the entire ride. NONE! Really sad, and I am looking forward to a restored attraction.

Thats bad AKL, when I went to disney back in 2003, I never got to go onto the ride. So the last time I was on the haunted mansion was like back in 1999. I did not know it got that bad. I guess that why they have to close it now and not wait till the winter time.

They need to get the attraction referbed for Oct. I'm hoping with this work they can import the Nightmare before Christmas rethemeing they do at DL. I've never see it only heard the soundtrack on Subsonic, and it sounds neat.

Let's hope we get some of the updates that the DL mansion got. Haunted Mansion really deserves to be in better shape than it is now.

Speaking of the HM. Anyone else ever notice that Pal Mickey has something to say in the Sayonce Room?

Yeah, that would be cool to have the Nightmare theming in place for the next MNSSHP! I have been to the party once before and really enjoyed it. It's a great time to visit.

Wow, creepy pic, GhostHost. Is it from the ride? I thought she glowed a bit more than that, but the background looks right.
Drop another coin in slot and I will tell you more.

Yep, she is from the ride but my flash is so bright it's like daylight! I make sure nobody is behind me or in front of me so I don't ruin the ride for them.

Shame, shame, GhostHost... Don't you know that spirits are frightfully sensitive to bright lights?
