I've always wondered, what do you guys do with the house after your done. I'm guessing you don't eat it, which is a darn shame. Mmmmmm, gingerbread house. BTW I counted 20 black dots, but i'm guessing that's not the answer, it'd be too easy.
sorry for not responding right away. I forgot about posting these already.

as far as the dots, there's alot more than 20. I wasn;t asking for the little discs on the wall, I was talking about the awning.

after the new year (about a week after), we just tore down and threw away the pices. it'd be up for a little over a month (from just after thanksgiving until just after new years). the gingerbread went stale, plus it wasn't eactly edible (real gingerbread is a bit soft and pliable, the stuff we made had alot more flour in it to dry it out a bit so we could make suitable shingles with it. it was also missing a couple of small ingredients to give it flavor (it had just enough molasses, cinnamon, netmeg, and ginger in it to give it color, not flavor).

You have a point. Being a lifelong Minnesotan, I don't think I could get used to the idea of Christmas without snow and cold weather. And I love to bake and decorate the house. Christmas in a hotel room in Florida just wouldn't be the same.

Right on being in Massachusetts there is nothing like a little snow on Christmas, and all the decorations.

We always travel to Disney during the spring and summer so it is one of my life's goals to make it to Disney for Christmas/New Years. It can't be all that cold in Florida during the winter months!

My favorite holiday at WDW has got to be Christmas. The whole resort is transformed like no other time of the year.

Ok the weather hopfully won't be cold, but you don't have to miss the snow. At closing when we were there in Dec 03 they made it snow along Main Street! As a life-long northerner it's pretty cool to be walking in short sleeves while it's snowing!

Christmas is a great time to go with many unique things to see. The only thing is that I miss the traditional background loops that most places play. I mean, I love Christmas and all - but I can only handle so much.

Besides, the BGM loops tend to set the mood of my vacation - much like how music on SSR brings me back to my times of vacation.

I think Christmas is the best holiday for me each park in Florida has something differant to enjoy. MGM Studios Has the Osbourne Spectical of lights which is awesome this year with the dancing lights. Magic Kingdom Has a great parade too. The magic is always around at Christmas

i went @ christmas/new years when I was a kid and loved it. However, I also just went 2 years ago during July 4th and had a blast. Point is: no matter which holiday WDW does a great job

** !! CHRISTMAS !! **
...ahh the lights, the music, the characters, the parades, enjoying it all with my family, everything that makes christmas, christmas :D
we unpack the lil' travelling tree !! :) and decorate it with miniture decorations :D and... voila! the best christmas
and having a bit of sunshine is always good 8) - it would be freeezing in England over december

Another favourite has got to be Halloween, from the UK, its not hugely celebrated compared to USA - but we're catching up :) - when i was young, taking my first step out of the Disney bus to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party held in the Magic Kingdom - i had not see sooo many sweets! - i was given a bagful before i had even got through the gates!! - love the parades , all the Villans

You know, if you think about it, of course people are going to say Christmas time. Disney doesn't really decorate any other time of year other than, more recently, Halloween.

Just returned from a four day Disney vacation! Christmas is STILL the best at Disney. All the things they do. The decorations at the parks and the hotels! And MGM's spectacle of Lights is still breath taking! Now they make them dance as well to Christmas music!
