That was my reasoning also. Gotta love the Star Wars geeky stuff!!!packwingfn wrote:I voted for Star Tours but that's just because I'm a huge star wars geek.

Tough call, but definately TOT. It's got three completely different queues. Like someone said earlier, the outdoor gardens feel exactly like they're out of Old Hollywood, which I guess is the point. hehehe. Then I always see something new in the middle queue. The detail is like The Haunted Mansion times 10.
My favorite part of the line is after the preshow. There's nothing like turning the corner from the library and into the underground service area to make my stomach start doing flip flops. Doesn't get better than that!

Yeah same here. I love the lobby, and always want to spend more time in there to just look around at all the cool decor.Hathaway wrote:I love the ToT queue too, but it always seems to me like the line itself should have snaked through the lobby more. I always wanted more time to wander through it.
But the boiler room always brings up the anticipation and dread. (The fun kind of dread.)

ToT is the best!! It's a classic Disney putting you in the show Que. No other company on the planet does it with the quality and detail that Disney does!

Wow, neapolis, you must have a lot of extra time on your hands to keep finding and resurrecting all these old threads!
But since you did, I'll chime in: yes, ToT has got to be the best queue in DHS. Now that TSM is there, it might run a close second, but I think ToT still beats it. Second place would have to go to RnR, in my opinion.

I've not been since TSM mania opened up, and I really do enjoy the Muppets, but I would have to say ToT with all the great theming and awesome music. I love that era's music

amy, you'll have a better chance of riding tot than getting into tsm. it is fun, so i'd make that your 1st stop if your there at park opening, or even early magic hours. generally fast passes sell out for that one early in the day, so keep that in mind.

Re: Favorite MGM Queue?
I picked Muppets. I love the movie posters and the general jokes throughout. It seems like I see something new every time! But that's to be expected since I love the preshow and the movie to boot!!!
Second place would have to be the now-extinct Star Tours.
But I would have to give an honorable mention to ToT...I have seen pictures of the queue and it looks amazing with all the detail put into it and I do love listening to the full loop of the queue music. Thing is, I will not go on that attraction so I have not experienced it in person. That's why I didn't vote for it.
Some folks have mentioned the TSM queue. What does it look like @ DHS? In DCA, you go through the never-ending switchbacks outside the building, then you enter the building with another giant switchback (but there's at least posters from each game to look at...but nothing special), then you head outside again, pick up your glasses and then back inside the second part of the building and around to the loading area. Overall it a pretty bland and boring line to wait in for 45 minutes or so. Mr. Potato Head is out front so you really don't get to see him much while passing the time in line.

MmeLeota...
You can go HERE to see what the WDW queue looks like. I love it. Basically, everywhere you look you see old childhood games that you grew up playing, but they are huge. It's like you are the size of a toy. The attention to detail is amazing and you get Barker Mr. Potato Head towards the end...just like the one you have at DCA. I think it's very cool and worth the wait as long as it is not more than an hour.

amy, i'd love to answer you on this one... i mean i really would! unfortunately, i have turned chicken in my old age. gone are the days of great america season passes, doing the "scariest" rides they had over, and over and over.... now, i'm looking forward to (and dreading) the days of my oldest forcing me to do rides that i've never done. like splash mountain in this upcoming trip, and eventually, the one i've tried to get my self to do since they opened it... tot. until then, you will have to rely on someone else to answer this question, sorry.Amy wrote:Good to know ~ thanks!
