I definitely can't do Astro Orbiter. Anything that spins makes me really sick. Also can't do Teacups for that reason. And, you would have to drag me kicking and screaming onto Star Tours. Just about any simulator wipes me out.

I wonder if you would be alright on the newest version of Star Tours with the digital projection and 3D? Or would that be worse??

Good question...might be worth a try. I can always close my eyes if it gets too bad. The motion isn't bad; it's the motion plus the projection that makes me so nauseous!

Remember that simulator at Epcot that "shrank" the audience down to the size of a cell, and sent them through the blood stream? That made me really sick to my stomach. :-| But Star Wars didn't bother me. Haven't been on it since it was redone, but it wasn't bad for me before. Weird, huh? I'm like a lot of you - the round and round rides make me sick (but not Astro Orbiters or Dumbo!) so at carnivals and the like I don't go on them. You won't get me on Mad Tea Party, though. Don't want to risk the protein spill.

Remember that? Absolutely! It was Body Wars. I can do Dumbo or Aladdin's Magic Carpets with no problem either. I think it is the sheer speed of Astro Orbiter that gets me. Last time we were at WDW I was able to do the "gentle" version of the Mission Space ride.

I am trying to figure out if I should give TOT another try. I haven't ridden THAT ride since it was a "single drop" ride (that shows you how long it's been). I feel pretty wimpy...my 70-something mother rode it a few years ago. I'm not much of a drop person....won't do Dr. Doom or whatever the big drop ride is called at Universal.

Ah, yes. Body Wars is what I believe it was called. It was always much worse than Star Tours when it came to how violent the ride was. I LOVED Body Wars, but I would admit that it wasnt for everyone, that is for sure.
To be honest, having read the new Star Tours, I think the movements are much less jerky, but it still moves you around quite a bit.

Yup, I always thought Body Wars was a lot rougher than Star Tours too. And I found the new Star Tours to be smoother this past trip.

Like Belle said, the queue is pretty neat and you would probably like the lobby and preshow as well. You could always go for those and then take the chicken exit if you change your mind. Then you can at least see those parts.

If you've ridden Star Tours DoM, you pretty much have seen Body Wars. Not much different there, just a different themed simulator ride. Plus it was really bumpy!

Oh, then you would have enjoyed it. Body Wars might still be intact inside the Wonders of Life pavilion...are you also a thrill seeking adrenaline junkie?! ;)

I have seen some posted pics of the inside of the pavilion, it was partially open for some event, and a lot of the signs and such were still up, but of course they couldn't go inside the queue lines to see if the actual rides were still there. which is a real darn shame. I wish I had the link to those pics. If anyone has em I will be forever in your debt. My links didn't follow me to the mew computer *sadface*
