Speedway is too far and not high enough with too many structures/buildings in the way.

Astro Orbiter is good, but it moves a bit quick and angles you in towards the center. It would really require a lot of luck and timing in the shot. I have been thinking the TTA could be a possibility as you go across the Speedway. It should be able to give assistance when they start vertical construction.

We will take what we can get. Glad someone is going to be able to go and investigate! I did see the pics recently posted on other websites in Fantasyland and it does look like things will get very congested during the busy months.

Planning a day trip to MK on Wednesday. I'll see where in the park is/are good spots for any photos of the construction. I still say that Barnstormer is the best spot because it is so close.

No problem. I'll try a bunch of places so hopefully more than one spot is ideal.

I'm not sure what was going on behind the walls, but I know it was sure noisey back there. Couldn't hear any area music between Pooh all the way to the back of Toon Town. Of course the slow moving smelly race cars also added to it.

BB - No, it's not. There are just walls from Ariel's grotto to the front of Toon Town. None of the walkways were closed this past weekend. You can still get from Toon Town to Tomorrowland by the walkway next to the railroad tracks or the main walkway in front of the race cars. Also, the tree that was relocated to the Pooh ride is also still blocked off by a wall.

Thanks NaCler, that makes me so happy! I love that walkway! I just hope it stays open, DH and I hope to return to WDW in Dec. Would love to walk down that way!

There will be no walkways blocked off during this expansion. Everything that will happen will be backstage away from guest areas. At least until they confirm the second phase for Pixie Hollow, then you can say goodbye to Mickey's Toontown Fair.

For those of you who want to see the walls - well, I found photos of them. They're posted in an update over at mouseplanet.com:

At least they were artistic about them instead of making them generic bland walls...

Excellent! We will be able to have some updates on what is going on now! I am just hoping that most of the construction that is currently going on around the park will be wrapped up by the time I get there.

I hope so Len... I was amazed at how many projects were going on at the same time. Main Street looks terrible with all the cloth facades that are up.

and to stay on topic... According to the walls that are up, they are building 2 more castles. Is that correct? Beast's Castle and Prince Eric's for the Little Mermaid ride???
