I knew I was a Disney nut when in my town I (and my wife) have become known as the "Disney" people. We are stopped while shopping, eating out and many of the things we do and asked about Disney. We have helped many families plan trips and I actually get really excited (and a little jealous) for people when they tell me they've decide to go to Disney for the first time (sometimes I'm more excited for them than they are because sometimes people just can't yet imagine how much they are going to enjoy themselves and the first time is your BEST time IMO....I still remember going up Main street for the first time, smelling the popcorn and seeing the castle and thinking "WOW, this is bigger than I thought.").
I have to bite my lip whenever I hear someone say "Oh we're going to Orlando for a day and we'll spend the afternoon at Disney." To me, Disney is at least a 4 day experience and that doesn't really even scratch the surface.
I've seen some situations where the children and wife LOVE Disney but the husband (or other family members) ruin it for them because he is a stick in the mud (and far "too cool" for Disney).
I've also witnessed situations in which families didn't listen to other Disney people and tried to book their vacation on their own and really messed it up and they didn't have a good time. Disney is just a different place than any other amusement destination-if you’re going to stay, (especially on site), you need the guidance of someone who knows how to book a Disney trip.
The bottom line....we just LOVE Disney
