Yikes! That is kind of scary. Was it at a busy time when the bus would have jerked a whole bunch of people off their feet if it had tried to stop? Hmmm, wonder if the cops would ever pull over the Disney buses?

Sorry to say, I've seen it before: once in the car nearly hit by one, and once being on the bus (luckily that time it was past midnight and no traffic). Believe it or not, it happens.

It was traveling in a 35 mph zone with the bus about the same speed as me (40....

).
And I have seen Lynx buses and American Coach (CP bus) pulled over plenty of times on property.

Oh, I have no doubt it happens. It's just that when next to the bus and knowing we are going about the same speed and I knew I had to stop or run the red (not with the amount they charge for the fine!!!)...

Did you happen to get the bus number and time of the incident. You can very easily report that bus driver for blowing the red. I've honestly had nothing but safe and courteous drivers. I'm always that one who takes the front seat and watches the road when in a bus. I've had Rutgers drivers run red lights all the time and I also had one hit 70 in a 55 zone on route 18.
Just last year we were coming back from MK and a car almost missed the exit to EPCOT resorts and basically cut off the bus I was on pretty badly. Driver saw it coming and reacted perfectly without jerking the bus which had standing people and avoiding contact with the car.

I would agree that most of the bust drivers are pretty good at what they do. You get the occasional driver that seems to forget he has standing people, but most of them drive quite smoothly.

All I remember is that it wasn't an older bus with the exhaust under the bus...

Indeed. Last time I was on a bus (last week) the driver was actually a lot slower than he should have been (at least 5 under the limit) with other buses, some with older drivers, passing him.

You actually cannot go fully by that. If any of the really old RTSs (2745-2780) are still around and kicking they would have the exhaust pipe on the top left corner. Also, I believe the 1994 RTSs had them which means 4805-4814. I have a picture of 4811 and it does have the exhaust in the top left.
If you are sure that it was not an RTS than you can determine Gillig or Nova by the simplest of things. Did the bus have a rear facing window. If you can answer YES it is a Nova LFS if you answered NO it would be Gillig Low Floor.

Hey!
I have been driven a little nutso this past week. One of my students put a little bell on her pen-pal letter to her cousin and it has tinkled on and off during my journeys. I realized today what it reminds me of...the Country Bear Jamboree Christmas special!
Poor dear!
Mad Eye, all I can say is I'm glad you're still with us and not being scraped off from the underside of a Disney bus.

I wouldn't have had a crash with the bus but I am glad no one else did either.
When you aren't paying attention to the TV and you hear a commercial for the Best Friends Pet Care and you perk up and watch it, even when you don't have an animal.
PS: It isn't just for people on vacation. They will take care of local's pets too!

Do local people actually use Best Friends Pet Care? I wonder if the prices are hiked up just a wee bit with it being Disney and all?
