Re: Countdown to ST2
They need a sponsor to put a pavillion in to begin with, and they usually demolish the old pavillions to put in a more updated facade as well as to be able to do major work for any ride.
If I recall, "Lives" is a bit of an overstatement. It's physically there but probably no longer able to run as before without major repair.

They use the pavilion for the Flower and Garden and Food and Wine festivals though, so the building isn't in disrepair...Wizzard419 wrote:I wonder, with building codes and all, since it's considered abandoned and no workers have any reason to be in the areas, if they can more or less just let it keep falling apart (entering into condemed status) until they tear it down? No reason to pay for upkeep afterall.
I would certainly hope there would be some sort of public outcry before WDW would get to the point of having crumbling and condemned structures on their property

Aside from Star Tours, does WDW have another stationary "shake'n'bake" enclosed simulator ride now that Body Wars is gone?

You can maybe throw Sum of all Fears in there...but it's different.mindflipper wrote:Aside from Star Tours, does WDW have another stationary "shake'n'bake" enclosed simulator ride now that Body Wars is gone?

Re: Countdown to ST2
I meant the ride buildings, since they can be sealed off and collapsing without always compromising the main building. As long as the public doesn't see it and no one is supposed to go in there, there wouldn't be any outcry or bother from anyone. Kind of like that guy who explored Discovery island and now may be banned for life from Disney parks.Amy wrote:They use the pavilion for the Flower and Garden and Food and Wine festivals though, so the building isn't in disrepair...Wizzard419 wrote:I wonder, with building codes and all, since it's considered abandoned and no workers have any reason to be in the areas, if they can more or less just let it keep falling apart (entering into condemed status) until they tear it down? Cpt. Eo/Honey I shrunk the audience is kind of like that since the floor moves for the shows.
Now the new hotness is movie rides (as in format not subject) where they can change out the content with ease as opposed to AA's which cost more and take a lot longer to change. Supposedly they can change TSMM's programing quite swiftly during the hours the park is closed.

Hahaha...oh yeah...Morgan Freeman is at Hall of Presidents...not InnoventionsAmy wrote:I think it's Sum of all ThrillstheBIGyowski wrote:You can maybe throw Sum of all Fears in there...but it's different.mindflipper wrote:Aside from Star Tours, does WDW have another stationary "shake'n'bake" enclosed simulator ride now that Body Wars is gone? But yeah, I would consider that different from the simulator since you get to design your own thing, and it's a Kuka arm instead of an enclosed simulator ride vehicle. Sum of all Thrills is more fun than Star Tours or the old Body Wars in my opinion, but a little too short

Re: Countdown to ST2
Before labeling someone as racist, please be aware of the facts of their posts...
"The Sum of All Fears" is a movie starring Morgan Freeman and Ben Affleck that came out in 2002 based on a Tom Clancy novel, and it is not the name of the ride at Innoventions at EPCOT (which BTW is called the Sum of All Thrills as previously pointed out). So you would not find (the voice of) Morgan Freeman at Innoventions.
Morgan Freeman is in fact the current narrator to the movie in the Hall of Presidents at WDW MK. His narration began its run back in 2009. And, if you've heard it, he does a great job as its narrator.
The statement of "Morgan Freeman is at Hall of Presidents...not Innoventions" is not racist but ironic statement of fact of where you find the actor's performance at WDW.

You guys got me cracking up laughing.
Re: Countdown to ST2
Hey there, I just realized that I never told you all that I got to see THE CREATOR HIMSELF (and Bob Iger, too
) when I went for the opening of ST2 in May. It was very cool, and the ride, as you all know by now, is incredible.
