GREAT PICTURES CHESHIRE CAT!!!!!!!!!!!! I love this one http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g101/ ... 2_1969.jpg
Where was that taken from the monorail?
Thanks! :D That one was taken from the monorail...and It even surprised me how well it came out with the monrail moving and all. I think I took well over 100 pics just of SSE this vacation. I guess it was just so amazing to see it again with no wand.

Dr. Ravenscroft wrote: Thanks!!! Sorry about the hotlink, didn't know I needed permission first, I will ask in future now that I know. By the way I love your site. My brother found out about it a few days ago and told me about it, and I have been there ever since reading and looking at pictures.

P.S. sorry but I voted for all of the above for the photo walk
Hi!

It isn't a problem, we stopped the hotlinking because so many people were doing it (often passing it off as their own photo). It's more that it increases our bandwith a lot without anyone even visiting the site.

But if I see anyone trying to hotlink to show a photo, I'll put it on photo bucket and add it to the thread. And you can use my pics for personal use also, anytime.

Thank you for enjoying our site and saying so, that is very nice of you!!! I was hoping to get more done this past week, but it's only me doing the photos and walks (and Food/Wine, 25th, etc.) So I did okay for everything going on!

I've been reading the epcot82 blog for a while and every so often, it's had pretty good articles that take a more optimistic approach than reimagineering a lot of times. I just happened to check it out today and was amazed by the article written for epcot's b-day. It takes a completely different approach to addressing epcot's anniversary and single-handedly eclipses anything Disney did yesterday for the anniversary. I mean, this would make a better dedication speech than anything Disney could ever come up with. Any Disney fan will love to read this birthday letter to epcot:

There's an amazing video of Monday's Reflections of Earth an 25th Anniversary fireworks, as well as the rededication ceremony here:

http://www.attractionsmagazine.com/video.php

So cool. I so wish I was back at WDW :|

Andy.

btw, the videos are .mp4, which I believe you need to open in Quicktime. They're well worth the 300MB each to download, though. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that that's one of the best videos of Reflections of Earth I've seen up to now. Definately keeping hold of that video on my hard disc for future evening viewing in a darkened room.. :)

Yesterday was simply awesome. It was so cool to be a part of it all and I still can't believe that Disney wasn't going to do anything for it until Celebration 25. Brad Rex looks like a total imbecile now, especially when you looked at the merch lines.

You did better than I can do right now. And I think the idea of the site is a great one. Sometimes I wish I could come up with stuff like that, maybe one day I too will have a good Disney site........eh I'd rather enjoy someone elses than have to learn web design..........Hey rdeacon I think I have some work for you to do

Keep up the good work Denise and I will keep showing friends, family, and just anybody I meet on the street about yours. I do that for this site, WDWtoday, disneypedia, and others all the time.

What a fantastic letter! Thanks for sharing. It encompasses all my feelings about Epcot and has such a happy outlook.

I still can't wait to watch the re dedication speech when I have time. Wish I could have been there myself!
Drop another coin in slot and I will tell you more.

Thanks! I don't know how to do the backend stuff, my DH does. :) But everything else is me! I appreciate all the kind words. It's fun, though I'll probably cut back to a couple of times a month after the new year.

The website was DH idea - I had started a fitness blog, and he said I should put up my Disney walks. Now it's just Mousesteps, no more fitness blog!

Wow, lots of great pics and accounts in this thread. Wish I could have been there myself, but this is certainly a good second-best. Thanks everyone for posting. :)

Every time I see SSE sans-wand makes me want December to get here just a little faster...

I had taken pics as the wand was coming down (my site was never meant to be a construction type site, but I do get asked for those type of pics all the time!) I am SO glad the wand is finally down - I'd just like to see the stones gone, and the hat at MGM. :)

Yes, the Leave a Legacy stones. The word around is that they will be moved elsewhere...maybe to the back of the park? We'll see!

It would be great if they were moved. I don't think it would be fair to remove them entirely from the park, but I'm sure they could be tastefully relocated without ruining the first few moments of each Epcot experience.

Wow, that's going to be a mammoth undertaking! I would like to see them gone. They look like futuristic tomb stones for all of the people sacrificed at Epcot or something. Just creepy and a bit of an eyesore.

i think if they got rid of them all together they would have just a few complaints from the people that paid a bunch pf money to have their mug shots put on them.
