Re: Countdown to ST2
got in line just in time, only 30 ppl behind me before they closed off the queue - no spoilers - will only say the digital projection looks 1000x better than the old film.
No one's gloomy or complaining while the flatware's entertaining.

Re: Countdown to ST2
Just got a text from a friend who is in Disney and they reported that they got to test out ST2 today too. Seems like every report I've been reading on it has nothing but high regards for it.

Re: Countdown to ST2
I've been following Star Tours 2 Live on Twitter and reading some reports, and I've heard nothing but good things about ST2. I just hate it that I won't get to ride it until next year at the soonest. Oh, well. I didn't get to ride the original Star Tours until 11 years after it opened, so I guess I can wait 1 year to ride the new one.

I've been following that too! Sorry you'll have to wait so long to see it.Future Guy wrote:I've been following Star Tours 2 Live on Twitter and reading some reports, and I've heard nothing but good things about ST2. Re: Countdown to ST2
Last night I got to ride it twice. They did close off the line after I got in at 8pm but then around 930p it was open again. Not sure if it was because of EMH or not, but the second time only had a 15 min wait. Different scenes the second time of course so I do agree the re-ride-ability will be high if you are willing to look past the fact that it is essentially the same ride.
Also, a lot has been said about the 54 combinations. Theoretically, you could ride it as few as three times and see every scene at least once, so that will be an interesting test of the long term popularity as well.

Re: Countdown to ST2
How awesome for you horizons1!!! We have to wait til August, but from what I've heard so far, ST2 does not disappoint.
Re: Countdown to ST2
Just got back from MGM and rode ST2 3 times. All I'll say is the wait for 2.0 was worth it!!!

DW got a little sick the last time we rode ST...
For those of you who have ridden the new one...do you think she would get sick on it like she did the old one? I have already told her she will be fine...so I am hoping I am telling the truth.

If she can't handle 3D movies then it may still make her sick. But what's a good marriage without lies? "Honey, I'm sorry I can't go to that romantic comedy with you, I have to go fix the car...":D

I would think the new incarnation might be worse with the 3D. Does she have any problems with 3D movies?theBIGyowski wrote:DW got a little sick the last time we rode ST...

Re: Countdown to ST2
I don't know that she has gone to see any 3D movies...other than the stuff at the Disney Parks. She loves Philharmagic...so maybe she will like ST2.Amy wrote:I would think the new incarnation might be worse with the 3D.
