I love the queue for PoTC! Have you looked down in the holding cell near the end of the line? The two skeletons playing chess. So cool.AKLRULZ wrote:Completely agree! I also like the queue for The Great Movie Ride and Star Tours and Pirates of the Caribbean!Gizmata wrote:Tower of Terror is my favorite Queue at WDW. I think the build-up is wonderful, the trees blocking out the rest of the world, the ornate, but unkept grounds fitting of a old luxury hotel. Then you get inside which is nicely done and dusty. It was long enough and well done to let you enjoy the new reality.
Next best would be "Tough to be a Bug" having all the wonderful faces in the Tree of Life to look at made it a slow trip in, even with no line.
Oh, i forgot to mention my favorite!
Expedition Everest. Deffinately. All the photographs of "yeti tracks" and evidence that the real yeti exists. It's so fun to gaze upon. It almost makes you think the Yeti IS real. Who knows.

WOW! There are some really good queues mentioned in this thread. The way the imagineers decorate the queues and start telling the story is what sets the Disney rides and attractions apart from the rest of the pack. I suppose, if I have to mention just one, my favorite would be the Tower of Terror. It does such a good job of setting the stage for the story and the amount of detail is "over the top." I see and/or hear something new every time.

Hi there. I know I've posted on this topic before but I just had to give an honorable mention to a queue that is no longer with us and may never be again; the Country Bear Playhouse at DL. I always remember as a kid going down that long wooden hallway/walkway to what was supposed to be the 'stage doors' of the Country Bear Jamboree and just siting and listening to the BGM before the show started, (I didn'e even realise their were actually TWO theaters until many years later). Anyway, it might seem strange now but when they added all that 'show-biz' paraphenalia and coin games from Teddy Bara's it just made it that much better. Well, I'll stop waxing nostalgic and just say that as far as queues go CBP definitely is up there. Later, peace.

Hmm. I think my favorite is a tie - PotC and Tower of Terror. The level of detail in both is really exquisite. I was pretty impressed with the Soarin' queue too (at least, the first part of it), where they have the big interactive screens and run games on them. That made the stand by wait go by faster (... a little. As a side note I wouldn't recommend the stand by line at longer than 20 minutes just to see that.
