Oh yes, hopefully some of the powers that be will see this suggestion!!cy1229 wrote:My biggest beef, though is that they still aren't addressing the dead end on Sunset. There needs to be another way to get down and back from that end of the park! I'm getting anxious jitters remembering when we were caught between two crowds of Fantasmic! viewers. Yikes.

It's not looking like that they will solve the issue of Sunset Blvd. If you google earth DHS, they can't really make a path to the east of sunset blvd since there are actual offices where people who professionally work for Disney work there. DHS is starting to have the same problem as AK, people are starting to make it a half-day park. Personally, I don't think any park is a half day park, I actually think AK is a two day park. With the buildup of Universal Studios with Harry Potter and Transformers, people are cutting time from AK and HS. Oh, by the way, Universal is building a hotel that is squarely aimed at Disney's hotel market. Hotel business doesn't look so safe anymore.

Do the really need to call it, STAR WARS "LAND"...really?
Lets home they find a better title...please. I have always wanted to see them bring the Indiana Jones ride to WDW.

I just can't imagine them getting rid of Muppet theatre...even loosing the pre-show, which is absolutely hilarious, is almost too much to bear
. Lets hope this doesn't really happen.

Well they already have it, under the name of Dinosaur. The track layout is exactly the same as the Indiana Jones ride at Disneyland. It's really funny that even though Indiana Jones was made before Dinosaur, many people prefer the Indiana Jones version over Dinosaur.Sharonofwindham wrote:Do the really need to call it, STAR WARS "LAND"...really?Lets home they find a better title...please. It never really was a safe business, large quantities of land are needed, health codes to enforce, staff, etc. and outside of ones catering only to the business traveler there are high and low seasons that screw with occupancy.Cardinals314 wrote:It's not looking like that they will solve the issue of Sunset Blvd. If you google earth DHS, they can't really make a path to the east of sunset blvd since there are actual offices where people who professionally work for Disney work there. Unless the hotel is located between WDW and USO and offers transportation to both, I can't imagine it would impact anything.

I knew it was the same type of ride, just didn't know it was exactly the same. I would love the Indiana Jones theme even though I love Dinosaur. Knowing this though, I guess I would rather have something entirely new & different.Cardinals314 wrote:Well they already have it, under the name of Dinosaur. I HIGHLY HIGHLY doubt we are getting Cars Land. Disney wouldn't hopefully be that stupid to replicate one of DL's biggest draws on the East Coast. Then there is no need to go out West and see DL in its entirety.

I don't believe the blog in terms of what it mentions, but I do think there is some sort of expansion coming to that park. One of the earliest signs (from when California started) was cutting the parade.Soarin08 wrote:I HIGHLY HIGHLY doubt we are getting Cars Land. The parade, if I recall, ended after the shareholder meeting. Considering this would be a sizeable investment, it would most likely be noted in the info given to shareholders like they did with the DCA expansion.

Do you think (An honest question) that Disney trys to pull east coast business to the west coast? I wonder what percentage of DW visitors go to DL? I have to believe less than 20%
I personally would love to see cars land but if it resides only in Anaheim, then I will never see it.

Not really, just look at the frequency of TV spots for DLR. Other than the west coast and a few states East, you probably will not see any spots for it. They even promote WDW vacations here as opposed to DLR.

I've never been to DLR. I've been to WDW **pause to count** 6 times. I'm 99% sure we'll get to DLR once because hubby really wants to go, and because if we can, I want to get him a tour of Pixar Studios. However, I don't think I've seen any ads for DLR here in Indiana, or in Michigan where I grew up, and there are TONS of WDW ads on TV.rphillips14 wrote:Do you think (An honest question) that Disney trys to pull east coast business to the west coast?
