I hope you aren't referring to what happened to the friend-of-Pluto as he was killed in the accident.
Now you ruined it, this is why we can't have anything nice. But Disney paid the $6,300 fine to OSHA so it's cool.
According to reports, it appears it wasn't that float that crushed the guy backstage wasn't the mirror float (hence why there is no youtube video for it) but rather a snowglobe float.

I hate to say that Madeye is correct we were in Magic Kingdom the day that happened.

At least that time it was backstage, they may move slow but they can still kill you.

"That time"? Was there another time when it happened out in the park?!
. I can't imagine witnessing something horrific in the Disney parks. I sound selfish...just imagine what it must be like for those involved, and the kids who witness something like that

Technically no one has died in the parks since Disney aparrently has some sort of rule that no one can be pronounced dead on property.
But this is a happy topic, so let's not focus on negatives here... New parade, Yay!

I'm happy that there are new parades. That means more people will be apt to go watch them, and then everything else is essentially a walk-on for us.
(We're not parade people.)
Polynesian 1980
All-Star Movies 2001
Pop Century 2008
Saratoga Springs 2010
Bay Lake Tower 2012
Hyatt Place Anaheim Resort/Convention Center 2015
Marriott Anaheim Suites 2016

I'm with you, cy1229, I don't even go to the majority of the shows at Disney. I've seen Fantasmic once for example and that's enough for me. Really appreciate what they do for the lines at the big attractions
. I do love the "street" actors in EPCOT, and the improv actors in Hollywood Studios though. I will always stop for them

Yes, and some of the musical groups at MK, as well.

I'm with you guys as well.
The parades, the spectacular shows, the fireworks. They just don't have that spark that everyone else seem to share.
Maybe I can blame my parents for that as they're not parade people either.
It's a good trade off, though! They get to watch a great show and we get to ride with empty queue lines.
.. now arriving at Space Mountain, Tomorrowland's gateway to the galaxy..

Oh, I forgot about MK! Barbershop Quartet, and the piano player at Casey's! I'm sure there are others I'm forgetting

Any idea when the new parade will take place? I'm going in September and it's always fun to see or do something new each trip.
