Chernabog: That is awefull to hear what happend. Usually Disney is very user friendly. I hope all goes well. It sounds like you sank a small fortune into this. We wish you luck.

Chernabog, did they ever send you a refund?

I had the opposite thing happen in 2010. I pre-paid for my birthday dinner in the castle for my family of 5 adults. On the day of, my brother got horribly sick (I was barely recovered from the same sickness the day before); so, when we got there I asked if they could reverse just his dinner even though it was clearly outside the cancellation window. The hostess said that would be no problem. When I got my CC statement and saw that the entire amount for all 5 dinners (plus a cake my sister had tacked onto the reservation secretly) was refunded, I called Disney and tried to pay. They refused to accept it and insisted it was their birthday present to me.

That is great customer service! They probably appreciated the fact that someone was honest

I also wanted to make sure the hostess and waitress didn't get penalized. Glad the tip was cash and not automatically included. I would have felt even worse!

Hmmm very surprising to have this still ongoing with Disney. Might have to get down to just demanding guest services managers and work up the corporate ladder. What paths have you gone down and have you made any considerable progress?

How is that surprising? Take a step back and think about it, the purchaser took longer than 30 days to go directly to Disney to get it fixed and then took longer than 90 days to go to the credit card company to get it fixed. Even though it isn't the worker's money that they would be paying out, it would look very shaky to anyone on the foodchain. Even good customer service has it's limits.

True about the time frame. Didn't realize the issue happened back in 12/2011 and the thread was started in 8/2012.

While I started the post in Aug, I have been dealing with it since March! frustrating.
