Speaking of Downtown Disney, are there any DisneyQuest fans here? I've got a special place in my heart for that big, turquoise building, as it was the first place I worked at WDW, right after its grand opening.

every trip down has a trip to DisneyQuest. It's always fun to play around in there. I love to do the virtual Space Mountain there. I always make one that is rated so 5 out of 5 people won't ride it. Even the CMs there look at me like I'm freaking nuts for designing something that spins and flips so many times (I had 6 corkscrews, 2 loops, and even an area where you're up-side-down for a few seconds - one right after the other  ). One of the CMs thought one of my rides might break the simulator...

Also, it's fun to get snapshots (and possible hidden video) of family and friends doing the VR game where you go into the comics (I forget the name off-hand, I'll look it up later). great blackmail material

 I had almost forgotten about that! It's called "Ride the Comix," and for everyone who hasn't tried it, you wear virtual reality glasses and hold a light saber-type weapon that only appears in your goggles. That means that for everyone watching you, it appears as if you've lost your mind and are trying to swat invisible flies.

Next time you're there, ask the cast members working at CyberSpace Mountain if they can still design the "secret coaster" that allows you extra track and more inversions. Only cast members know how to build it, as you have to design it with certain pieces of track in a certain order to work. However, if you search the net, maybe a wayward cast member or two have let the secret out... Hopefully no one on the up and up has fixed that little glitch in the software.

We always go to DTD on the very first day we arrive since we don't want to use up a full day's worth of a ticket for only a few hours at a park. We also might hit DTD on departure day if there are any souvies we wanted to get.

As for DQ, we never go. My husband and I both grew up in Chicago and we used to have one there (now closed) and we'd go every now and then...so it's not a big deal to us anymore.

We arrived real early one morning so the kids would have most of the day to do all they wanted. I just walked around and watched. I found an old flipper machine to play. We all had a great time.

Thats a great idea, visit DTD on the first day of arrival. Its a bit of tease before hitting the parks the next day. :D

We always make atleast one trip to DTD. I have to get some shopping done, ya know! It's such a great atmosphere - and you don't have to use a park ticket to get in!

If you haven't done it, take the time during a day to walk to the other end by Pleasure Island - (by the movie theater, etc.) they have some great shops there too!

We're heading to WDW for 2 weeks ( ) this summer, and I can't wait to pick up a few items for myself at the World of Disney, etc. ! :D

We were going to visit in about 2 weeks also, but thats before we found out that May, 31 to June, 6 is g** week/g** days whatever. :x We decided to go the end of June instead. :( The thought of g** week at Disney is disgusting. [/quote]

That's usually the first or last place we go when we are down there.
We always eat at Rainforest Cafe. Although I don't really buy a lot there.

I love Downtown Disney. My wife and I go quite often. It's a great place to go when we have no other plans on the weekend. All the stores, the food, the candy, the atmosphere. It's almost as much fun as going to the parks. ALMOST.

I don't really care too much for the prices at the Virgin Mega Store, and we hardly go in that one to be honest. Sadly, I've never been to Disney Quest though, are you all saying I've been missing out? Are you saying I need to go, now, right now??

last day on the holiday. BTW is the lock ness still in the lake still made
out of lego?
