I bet Jack Wagner's little spiel would get funnier and funnier the more you were drinking though.

I have a feeling there may be a few "protein spills" after several laps around Bay Lake if there were drinks available on-board.

A few details to work out, true...theBIGyowski wrote:I have a feeling there may be a few "protein spills" after several laps around Bay Lake if there were drinks available on-board.

But at least you're finding some positive points to this plan.

Re: Monorail Night (aka the Monorail Crawl)
After talking this over, I think this is our plan: Cocktails at the Grand Floridian, Mizners Lounge. Then off to the Contemporary, a couple of appetizers and adult beverages at the California Grille. Finally, end up at the Poly with a couple more drinks at the Tambu Lounge and an appetizer. Go out to the point at the Poly, watch the Electric Water Parade, then Wishes from MK.
Can this be timed right and really work??? We'll be there in July to find out! How does this sound?

Re: Monorail Night (aka the Monorail Crawl)
DW and I are staying at BLT our last two nights...(6/16 and 6/17) so perhaps we can give this a shot.
Hmm...just saw that the California Grill has an open ADR...
1) Cocktail at GF
2) Drinks and sushi at Contemporary
3) Drinks and Dole Whip (or spiked Dole Whip!) at Poly...while watching Wishes from the beach
I may have to do this...

Re: Monorail Night (aka the Monorail Crawl)
On second thought...since we will be at BLT...we could end the trip at the Top of the World Lounge and watch Wishes from there...
So we could just do a drink at each place...
1) Poly
2) GF
3) BLT

Re: Monorail Night (aka the Monorail Crawl)
I think you got the monorail cycle right, so it should be feasible. But you will need to allow time to do it with the travel, eating, drinking and wait times as well. Will this be weekend (Fri or Sat) or weekday night? That would also impact your timetable (probably heavier monorail traffic on weekends).cousininmiami wrote:After talking this over, I think this is our plan: Cocktails at the Grand Floridian, Mizners Lounge. That would be the tricky part ~ timing it so you have enough time at each stop so you don't feel rushed...plus you definitely don't want to miss the evening fireworks show. Good luck!mindflipper wrote:I think you got the monorail cycle right, so it should be feasible. But you will need to allow time to do it with the travel, eating, drinking and wait times as well. I bet if you ask at one of the concierge lounges, they might be able to give you a few pointers. I'm guessing other guests have tried this before...
Re: Monorail Night (aka the Monorail Crawl)
Oh, they are listening. But one of the things they want to push with the Monorails (especially the ones that stop at MK) is occupancy. Unfortunately there is no room for a real full bar anywhere on a Monorail, either.Amy wrote:Yeah ~ then you wouldn't even have to disembark! I probably wouldn't want to ride in the bar car anyhow...too many drunken idiots a'hootin' and a'hollarin'MadEye wrote:Oh, they are listening. I think we need to add a special monorail train, one which you can walk from car to car and have a full bar in one car. Maybe throw a disco ball and music too. It could be the "Party Monorail" (for adults of 21 years or older).

That and no running water would probably put a crimp in things.MadEye wrote:Oh, they are listening. But one of the things they want to push with the Monorails (especially the ones that stop at MK) is occupancy. Unfortunately there is no room for a real full bar anywhere on a Monorail, either.

What color stripe do you suppose it would have on it's side?!mindflipper wrote:I think we need to add a special monorail train, one which you can walk from car to car and have a full bar in one car. I don't think I need to make any color suggestions myself; the stripe color will be made by those few patrons who consume too much and then hurl their contents out through the window while monorail is moving (after all, as Wizz pointed out, there's no flowing water onboard)...Amy wrote:What color stripe do you suppose it would have on it's side?!mindflipper wrote:I think we need to add a special monorail train, one which you can walk from car to car and have a full bar in one car. On a related note, I am a bit surprised they don't operate the partyboat every night that it isn't reserved for illuminations.

No boats are allowed in the lagoon during Illuminations, but your idea I'm surprised isn't done for Wishes over at the Seven Seas Lagoon at MK.Wizzard419 wrote:On a related note, I am a bit surprised they don't operate the partyboat every night that it isn't reserved for illuminations.
