Ticket question

Wow so I guess my best advice to her would still be to purchase the tickets at her resort and they may or may not add it to her room key. I am sure she really won't care either way. I was just hoping to save her one more thing to keep track of.

One of the reasons it may not get added to the room key is that if the room is not available when you check in, and you want to head off to the parks, you don't have a room key yet onto which to add the ticket. That was it in my case (and just after I got my ticket, I got a call on my cellphone that the room was ready and I could get my key LOL).
