Sounds like an interesting show. Guess we'll just have to take a long weekend to WDW to check it out

Was at MK earlier today and yes it is temporary.mindflipper wrote:It looks like they have a screen installed above the castle gate entrance. Please tell me this is temporary and not permanent?

I actually made a video I thought about sending in but never did ... guess maybe I should have, ya never know
Re: The Magic, The Memories, and You!
Yes, I believe I read somewhere that there are an average of 100,000 to 125,000 pictures taken each day at WDW by the PhotoPass photographers!Amy wrote:I would guess it is more of a random process. There would be thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of photos taken each daymindflipper wrote:I would presume all of WDW, as no other park is doing a projection show like the MK. I just wonder who's job it is to sort through all those photos and pick the 500 to use each day?

Sounds like a good plan.stinoi wrote:Sounds like an interesting show. Guess we'll just have to take a long weekend to WDW to check it out
We just missed the show the last time we were there.

To be honest, I'd be very surprised if it were Louise Warren again - the voice is IMO too different for that.Amy wrote: The person singing the main song sounds very much like the person that performed the Destiny exit music for Mission Space. Does anyone know if it is the same singer?
Judging by the looks of that screen in the video, the material isn't too thick - should be possible to reel it up during the day, if they did a good job installing it. That way, there would be only the bar on which it'd be rolled up and maybe a few cables which have to be hidden.Amy wrote:I would guess it is permanent as long as this show is playing. I am curious to see a daytime photo and see how well it blends in though. I know when I was traveling in Europe they had castles that were undergoing renovations and the scrims that they had over the castles were printed to look exactly like what was underneath. I would think Disney would do pretty well at that themselves if they choose to do somindflipper wrote:It looks like they have a screen installed above the castle gate entrance. ...but I guess somebody will have to go there to tell us how it really is

Sounds neat. I would love to see it.
Re: The Magic, The Memories, and You!
I recall seeing someting on Facebook recently indicating you could send in photos. I'll have to go back and look for it.Amy wrote:Oh, I didn't read the article, I was going on what they had been saying on tv about sending in your photos and videos.mindflipper wrote:I thought it said it was taking the photos from PhotoPass at the parks?

I find this overrated... just like what it is attached to (AHEM, Wishes). Cool idea but has never impressed me.

The animations on the castle really do look quite amazing in the videos though!Soarin08 wrote:I find this overrated... just like what it is attached to (AHEM, Wishes). Cool idea but has never impressed me.

You're not alone, Soarin08. I don't find Wishes better than other fireworks I've seen (but I did like the DL's 50th fireworks)...Soarin08 wrote:I find this overrated... just like what it is attached to (AHEM, Wishes). Cool idea but has never impressed me.
