I'm thinking that I might have to take my Mom here for a meal next time we make it to EPCOT. She loves cheese soup and steak so it will be right up her alley. I like yummy bread and it sounds like they have that there too...

You can check the menus online but don't forget that many of the highly popular food items (filet mignon, cheese soup, etc) are also on the lunch menu. The portions are slightly smaller in some cases but a late lunch beats no reservation for dinner.

I'm surprised it isn't already.
No one's gloomy or complaining while the flatware's entertaining.

So can you go for lunch without reservations? I'm sure the lunch portions would be more than we would want for a meal anyhow...not having a fridge on vacation really stinks if you have leftovers!JimB wrote:You can check the menus online but don't forget that many of the highly popular food items (filet mignon, cheese soup, etc) are also on the lunch menu. You still need reservations for lunch, it's just that from my experience you are able to get an ADR for lunch when dinner has none available.Amy wrote:So can you go for lunch without reservations? Oh...We are so spontaneous that I don't know that ADR would ever work for us. We might have to try it once though since I keep hearing such wonderful things about Le Cellier...can you ever luck out and get into these places on the spur of the moment or is it reservations only? We don't eat at the usual times at the parks so as to avoid the crowds anyhow...does that help?JimB wrote:You still need reservations for lunch, it's just that from my experience you are able to get an ADR for lunch when dinner has none available.Amy wrote:So can you go for lunch without reservations? I'm sure it improves your chances but success at a walk-up at a location like Le Cellier is very infrequent and completely unpredictable. I sure wouldn't want to count on it.

I am usually spontaneous in the parks too, but in the past 15+ years I don't think I've ever been without ADR for dining. Spontaneous about the rides, not about the dining.

I'm guessing it will now require 2 credits if this goes through?JimB wrote:There's a strong rumor that Le Cellier in Canada may be converted to a Signature Restaurant by year's end. If you're on the Dining Plan It might pay to get ADR's there if you like it and are visiting by the end of summer or so. Might not be as economical if you save it for your next trip. You can always change your ADR's if the rumor doesn't pan out.

That would be correct Corey. It would be two "table service" credits for those on the Disney Dining Plan.Soarin08 wrote:I'm guessing it will now require 2 credits if this goes through?JimB wrote:There's a strong rumor that Le Cellier in Canada may be converted to a Signature Restaurant by year's end. Ah ~ makes sense. We aren't about the food so much as the attractions and music and atmosphere...I am happy with a banana and a rice krispie treat for brekkie so fancy food is somewhat lost on me...want to see the Le Cellier place very much now after all the hoopla on here though...mindflipper wrote:I am usually spontaneous in the parks too, but in the past 15+ years I don't think I've ever been without ADR for dining. Yep, Le Cellier seems to be the DOLE WHIP of Disney Dining.Amy wrote:I am happy with a banana and a rice krispie treat for brekkie so fancy food is somewhat lost on me...want to see the Le Cellier place very much now after all the hoopla on here though...

Here's a photo of one our favorite desserts at LeCellier:

And yes, the servers call it the chocolate mousse.
