lol I always go to the parks in the middle of the summer :D But I'm also born and raised down here so I guess I'm used to the heat.

Same with me - but being at WDW in summer just isn't the top of my list of things to do!  :mickey:

DHS would be my odd one out. There isnt alot there that appeals to me. I only care for Toy Story mania and Muppets 3-d, the rest is take it or leave it.

So I would do MK, Epcot and AK for my 3 days.

For our family, it would probably be MK, AK, DHS. Not because we don't like Epcot (it's actually my wife and my 2nd favorite park), but because of our dd6 (and soon-to-be-new-addition-to-our-family son).

My daughter LOVES Animal Kingdom. It's her 2nd favorite park. (Of course, Magic Kingdom is her favorite park ANYWHERE!!!) She loves Kilimanjaro Safari, Nemo the Musical, Festival of the Lion King, even the bird show. She likes the parade and both walking paths. She also likes the petting zoo.

At DHS, she loves Beauty and the Beast on stage, Voyage of the Little Mermaid, lunch at the Sci-Fi Dine-in Theatre, Playhouse Disney (although she may have outgrown that by our next trip), and I feel quite sure she'll LOVE Toy Story Mania. She also HAS to see Fantasmic on each trip, even though it scares her a little.

At Epcot, she likes Spaceship Earth and the old El Rio del Tiempo. She also like Turtle Talk and on her next trip she'll be tall enough for Soarin', which I'm sure she'll like. But other than Off Kilter, there's not much in the World Showcase she enjoys. (We haven't been there since they've added the Kim Possible adventures, so that may change things.) It appears to us on the last two trips, Epcot is where she's had the least fun. She still had fun, though, and would rather be in Epcot than in any other non-Disney park anywhere.

This is exactly what I was thinking but I include at least June and August in that same list!

I was trying to pick just three and I don't know that I could. I would have to go to all four parks if I had 4 days, and would have to park hop if I had less. We have been spoiled by going to Disneyland the last few trips - it is so much smaller in area there that you can get around much quicker and see a lot more if it isn't too crowded...

Wow! This is a tough one, but I think we'd skip EPCOT.
I love Test Track, Spaceship Earth, and Soarin', but if I only had 3 days, I could miss those, but couldn't miss out on MK, or riding RnRC, ToT, or EE.

You seem to be leaving out most of what the park has to offer. World showcase and Illuminations. I personally need more than one day to handle World Showcase in it's entirety.

Funny you mention about needing more than one day to handle EPCOT (and MK for that matter). I remember when the in-room Disney info video would recommend 2 days for both the MK and EPCOT and a day for MGM. Assuming you rode 75% of all rides at MK and EPCOT with an average crowd level, could it be done in a single day without completely exhausting you for the next day? A couple of times, I did do a park from open to close, and I was pretty tired. Getting up the next day to attempt another open to close day at the park was not exactly my favorite thing to think about while heading back to the hotel, but I was re-energized the next day when arriving at the park.

Anyways, back to topic, seems that a good majority of us built our memories on the big 3 parks and AK is the red headed stepchild of the group, even though it has dramatically improved since its original opening. Does anyone remember AK pre-Asia, EE and Festival of the Lion King? What would you do there for the entire day?

I'd rather see wishes than illuminations.

I liked DLR's 50th fireworks more than wishes. The projections on the castle and small world were cool.

I don't know if it is as much related to the memories or it relates to what you can do. If you are on limited time and want to do one park a day for the whole day, with AK you get no night. Park is closed around 7PM in peak season and maybe 10PM on EMH. The park has made vast improvements, but for me, I think a half day in the park is sufficient. Not to mention the unbearable heat there from all the trees in the summer time.

As I read through all the comments here, it was easy for me to pick my first two: MK and Epcot, but I kept going back and forth between AK and DHS for the third. That's really a toughy, because I love a lot of things about each. But in the end, I decided that AK is my third because I'm a Nature Boy at heart. I grew up in the country with a love for animals and nature in general. In fact, I taught a course in survival skills to grade-school kids at summer camp when I was in high school. So in the end, AK wins for me.

First off, we wouldn't put ourselves into this position. If we only had three days, then we'd parkhop and hit each park at least once... if not twice in our three days.

But since you posed a hypothetical question, for our family, we would skip the Magic Kingdom.

The AK, Epcot, and DHS would be our three choices.

 you would skip MK!! IMO it is the center piece and best part of WDW 8-)
