My dad remembers when Disneyland was brand new and the people who rode JC thought the animals were real. Apparently back then it was more serious and less comical.

I remember reading that. When DL first opened the JC was a serious, 'African Queen'-type ride. It didn't acquire its humorous bent until later.

I've never bothered at night. It would never have occured to me until lately all the podcasters are talking about how much more they enjoy it. So, I guess, it's time to try and see.

I like JC both night and day. At night the atmosphere is amazing. During the day I like to really look at my surroundings and catch all the details. It's a great ride either way.

I agree, Jungle Cruise at night is awesome!! The skipper was female and she pretended to fall because it was dark and landed right in my husbands lap. Boy was his face RED  . This absolutely made our trip.

Definitely at night!!! When we were there in '08, our CM was "Mike" and we were all tearing up with laughter.

Someone put a video of him on youtube in which Mike even made a thank you post.

Going on the jungle cruise at night brings a different feel to the attraction. While some people say it's better at night, I just believe it is different. I enjoy both during the day and night.

We always end up riding it at night. I think it's been many, many years since I've been on it in the day and my husband never has. I guess we should do that next time for comparison.
Can't wait to take my twin boys on their first trip to Walt Disney World! Planning on heading there sometime Feb-May 2014!
