I guess the only reason I can think of is that it was meant to prevent the "bring your own" crowd from occupying the seating area or stopping it being used as an air conditioned inside rest area. We haven't been to the World yet this year so I don't know how much of a crowd that creates with the economy now but in the past Pecos Bill has always seemed to have an abundance of seating availability. Certainly it is an inconvienence if it prevents a few members of a party from sitting at a table while the other members get the food for the group but we'll see in future posts if that is really enforced. The article does say that it is only used when "park attendance warrants" so hopefully that means only at peak dining periods during the day.

It's FAST FOOD!! and I'm not Lemming!! No I don't like this idea at all. I just don't see the need for it. Whats next a catchup steward, are they going to show me something in a fine Hunts or Hienze? "Here sir this was a very good week". No this is ridicules. Like I said, it's counter service, I.E. FAST FOOD!

Well, with the exception of two people, I think the majority agree that this is a bad idea. I totally agree with the person who said that this is QUICK/FAST FOOD and as a result, I should be able to sit when I want and where I want without having a "matre d'" tell me. Come on - it's absurd. I loved the Hunts/Heinz comment, too.
And excuse me but does WDW world have SOOO MANY cast members with NOTHING to do that they can afford to spend the man hours having cast members stand there and hand me a menu for a hamburger/hot dog joint? Paleeze......

I can understand the desire to drive out the "bring your own food" denziens that often inhabit such air conditioned places, but where are some roomy, air conditioned areas to simply sit and relax in the middle of a hot day? I'd think that many people (especially children and elderly) NEED that sort of shelter.
Additionally, although food is a major source of revenue, this may well drive some of the families pushing their budget to stay home or go buy tickets to a different theme park or attraction.
Bad form, DLR.
