It is so fun to visit AK at night. It was raining so we went last minute and only had an hour and a half. It was the best, I love the look of it at night, the lighting, the smells.

Its on my list of things I have to do again next trip.

I love AK and have never seen it at night! I bet that would be awesome! Would love to get that chance to see it all lit up! I know the animals need a break from the constant tourist attack! But I would think that could stay open late one night a week during peak times! :donald:

it's called Extra Magic Hours, and happens at least once a week, if not more often. you just have to stay on property to partake in the pleasure.

Yes the last trip I took when the "extra hours" where scheduled for animal kingdom, after asking cast members in MK and then asking the bus driver on the way to AK. Both told me and my son extra hours were that night, we get off the bus to see cast members leaving and the park closed. I will hvae to try again to get their for those extra hours. btw- I never stay off property :) :donald:

I would love to be at AK at night! They never stay open late enough! Maybe magic hours will happen soon!

OMG!!! I would love to be at AK at night. You would see the park very different at night then the day time. The sunset at night has to be awesome :ccat:

Anyone know what the EMH's are for july 2 - 5? Does AK have any extra magic hours then! I hope so!

This sounds like a great idea. It would be very special... I sure hope someone at WDW thinks of it someday. I would love to try it!

Everest at night is cool. During the big climb you can look side to side and see the other parks and resorts all lit up. It really is an awesome view. But then of course you are chased by a Yeti soon after and forget the whole scenic thing for 2 minutes.
