Thank you to all for your suggestions. We had a blast at DAK my fiance' did ride the Kilamanjaro Safari ride and it was OK for her. We also enjoyed the shows and Rafikis planet watch. Over in Camp Minnie -Mickey I had "Guitar Dan" serenade her with a song he made up on the spot. I got a birthday button made for her that she wore all day and had lots of CMs and a few characters wish her a Happy Birthday! Then that night we ate at "Boma's" at AKL where the waiter brought a cupcake out on a plate that had Happy Birthday written in chocolate aroud the rim of the plate. She said it was a wonderful birthday for her. :mickey:

Awww I'm glad to see she had a good birthday. Glad she was able to experience the Safari. I never heard of Guitar Dan but that must have been very magical for her and I've heard excellent things about Boma :)
I know this is probably your first flight...and it's mine too...ha, ha

Rain upon that planet Earth. And they rain ... and rain ... and rain. The deluge.

When I saw the vine lady, my first thought was "what the heck is that?" Then I realized that there was an extremely flexible woman inside that costume, and I started feeling vaguely dissatisfied with my marriage, so I stopped watching her.

Seriously, though, I felt sorry for her because it was mid-September (and therefore almost unbearably hot and humid) and there she was wrapped in this vine costume and green makeup.

Glad you had a good time, dwellsbct!

hello, hope this reaches you before you go.
I also recommend the Jungle Trek, Festival of the Lion King and even Rafiki's Planet Watch. I would say It's Tough To Be A Bug, but there is the point where you're stung in the back, so that may be a cautioned attraction. Hope you all have a fun time.

Do people really feel as if the sting in the back is all that bad? It feels like a slight poke..it just catches you off guard. I have heard and read many things about how people feel that this attraction wouldnt be good for their kids..and I just dont get it. Do you feel that people are becoming just a tad over protective with their children? If we start keeping kids from getting a slight "disney poke" in the back..are the parents of the world going to keep their kids indoors so they dont run into the chance of getting a real sting? When did sheltering your children ever result in anything good? If we cant enjoy Disney-related attractions, then what can we enjoy?

the only reason i caution them for that one, is the fact that they will be post op for back surgery. i agree it's not bad, the sting, but jumping from surprise probably wouldn't feel great. i personally have no problem with the ride having that surprise, i find the caught off guard stuff fun.

After back surgery that "sting" can get to be a debilitating shooting pain down the leg that can drop you like a riffle shot! :!:
