They are all wonderful and worth seeing, but Wishes gets my vote. It has a storyline, of sorts (like Fantasmic does), amazing pyrotechnics (like Illuminations does) and the advantage of the castle in the foreground. Once you add in Spectromagic (I know, not fair), it just can't be beat.
Furthermore, I have a sentimental vote for it. The first time that I saw Wishes, I was with my mother, who just found out that her cancer had come back. When we were told that we needed to make a wish, we both started crying. I still can't hear the music without tearing up.

Illuminations has my vote, although Wishes came in a close second (who can't resist seeing fireworks above the castle?) However, I just love the music from Illuminations: Reflections of Earth, as well as the globe and the colored fountains - beautiful! I was just there the end of January and hadn't seen it since 2000 and I forgot just how great it is. Disney definitely knows how to put on great fireworks shows!

Just hearing that track on sub is amazing, I couldn't imagine seeing it. Being east-coasters we frequent WDW and have only gone to DL once and not during the Remember fireworks. The opening music is the same as Wishes, right? Which one was first?MW1218 wrote:I know I'm in a minority, but I'm a huge Fantasmic fan. If WDW had the Remember fireworks show that Disneyland has, it would be a slam dunk!
So of the 3 in WDW, I had to go with Wishes, it really does give you the quintessential feel of Disney. I used to try to get in as many rides on BTMR during the fireworks but my wife changed that 5 years ago and now seeing the show brings back some great memories.

So..let me preface this by saying that I am not a person that normally wears his emotions on his sleeve. I typically do not too overly emotional over things. But the first time I ever saw wishes..I was in the park with my girlfriend..which was the first time i ever went to disney with a gf..and towards the end of wishes...when the huge fireworks were exploding over cinderellas castle..i will admit..i started crying like a little baby. I dont know if it was the fact that I had such a great time with my gf...or that the music made me feel like I was a kid again...but it was one of the greatest moments of my life..and everytime I watch wishes..it reverts me back to that moment..and forever it will be my favorite firework show disney has and will ever put on.

Easy that one 'Wishes' for the music as much as the fireworks....

Wishes... hands down.
It always gives me chill bumps and it just gives that magical WDW feeling.

I voted for Illuminations, but Wishes is such a close second.
I admit is also that I choked up a little during both.
Illuminations is so majestic and grand (I can't think of the perfect words) that it overwhelemed me and made me tear up the 1st time.
Wishes got me when the Fairy Godmother started talking near the end--I honestly don't even remember what she says, but whatever it was, it got to me.
I was on the road trip (chronicled on the trip report forum) with some guys from work--I was glad it was dark!

Illuminations. I have never seen Wishes (though I think of Remember, Dreams Come True when I hear the music), and I don't care for WDW's version of Fantasmic!
