mickster68 wrote:Awesome tips! I called yesterday to see if they have officially set the dates. I was told No, but they will be in the next few weeks. The person I spoke to said they went on sale in early May last year, so to keep checking back for the definite dates/times, etc. I will certainly be following your advice---thanks!
You're very welcome! Also, when you arrive at WDW, check with Guest Relations at the resorts or theme parks to check what time you may enter the Magic Kingdom for the party. Sometimes it is earlier than posted on park signage or printed on the tickets.
I hope you have a great time!
One more thing: I heard a rumor that the Haunted Mansion at WDW will get a makeover this year for Christmas, just like at Disneyland.

I've heard the same about the Haunted Mansion--I've always wished they would do that in Florida--hope it's true! That looks really neat!

I have never done this, but lots of people rave about it on another forum. I guess I just don't want to spend the $$$.

I have done both the Christmas and the Halloween Party, and I can tell you that the Halloween party is the better of the two. The ride of the Headless Horseman is worth the cost of the ticket alone.

Tickets went on sale for both recently. Funny thing is, I found out through the All Ears web site. When I called Disney just over a week ago, they told me to check back in Sept or Oct!!! Anyway, got our tix lastnight--HURRAY!!!

This is a great time of year to be @ Diney World. The Very Mery Christmas realy puts you in the Chistmas spirit. The decorations, snow, hot chocolate, family and just being @ Disney makes your heart feel great.

Yes, the first thing anyone who attends needs to do is get that free picture!! The line is incredible, and that includes the rides. We went to our first MVMCP last year and we loved it. But forget about riding any rides, it is packed! We were able to ride Haunted Mansion and Pirates, and I think that was it. We spend the rest of the time trying to get to shows to watch. And the shows were great, but honestly, you have to get there almost 30 to 40 minutes just to get a seat. Time went by way too quick.
We were lucky we had passes, so we went to the park in the morning, then that night we could catch all the shows. Well worth it, but decide if you want shows, or rides that night.

It's a must do for us. I have done it 2 years in a row and thouroughly enjoyed it both years.
As others have posted,
Get your picture done early, Hall of Presidents is where we usually go although for the Halloween party this year, we went to Adventureland.
If dining, get ADR's at either Liberty Tree Tavern or Crystal Palace for around 5:00pm
You can enter the park on your Xmas party ticket at 4pm
See the Night before Xmas at Galaxy theatre, It's a great show.
See Wishes from Main St. The 360 circle of fireworks is awesome and I've heard that Disney is reworking Xmas Wishes simillar to Hallowwishes (and that was one of the best displays that I have seen for a long time)
Get your free cookies and hot chocolate to enjoy the fireworks and the parade with.
Go to the second parade, Great parade with snow on Main St.
Most rides are walk on for the eariler dates, it will get more crowded closer to Xmas.
Characters are everywhere, look at the out of the was pathways, We had Santa Goofy to ourselves for about 10 minutes last year.
