The convenient thing about 'trespassing' in these semi-public areas is that you can just use the 'I'm a stupid tourist - is this the way to the monorail/bathroom/Space Mountain?' excuse. Provided you can look dense enough.

Or if you really want them to feel sorry for you, just ask if this is the way to the Hulk.DisBeamer wrote:The convenient thing about 'trespassing' in these semi-public areas is that you can just use the 'I'm a stupid tourist - is this the way to the monorail/bathroom/Space Mountain?' excuse. They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

Oh, good one. The latter question was the one my sister complained about the most when she was a CM.DisBeamer wrote:"We're trying to get to Disney. Do you know when the 3 o'clock parade starts?"

Yeah I would get asked that too, and I worked in EPCOT. I would have to tell them that their is no 3 o clock parade in EPCOT, there used to be A parade but that only lasted about a year haha
I know this is probably your first flight...and it's mine too...ha, ha

I miss a lot the wonders of life... The cranium command ride was one of the ride that I had only 1 shot at it in my whole life....and is strangely the one that from time to time I miss the most.

I miss Cranium Command too. It was one of the few rides that I came out feeling good afterwards but I think the last time I saw it, I was still a teenager so I felt a lot of the same feelings that the kid was going through. I'm sure if I were to watch Cranium Command now, it would probably be more for nostaglic feelings then warm fuzzy feelings.

It baffles me that people ask that question. How did they even find their way to the parks? Shouldn't they just ... spontaneously fall down when they're walking? Inquiring minds want to know!
I only saw CC a couple of times in person, but it's one of the tracks on here I never get tired of. It was pretty dated by the time it closed, though. How many people actually remember Hans and Franz from SNL?

Yeah, that aspect of CC was a real bummer. It immediately dated itself. Using celebrities usually doesn't work out very well.
It was especially bad with CC, though, because it was otherwise an excellent show. It was actually funny when it was supposed to be, did a good job of telling its story (which was actually relevant to the pavilion, although I suppose not the future), and was generally an interesting and effective use of the tech.
I suppose the point is moot now, but that seemed like a bad call from the start. That's what Disney gets when they try to be "trendy", I guess.

Heck, all you really need to do is walk fast, like you know where you're going, and look mad (or at least determined). It's the same technique you use to walk down the street in NYC and look like a savvy local instead of a muggable tourist.horizons1 wrote:We just need a good cover story!packwingfn wrote:Horizons1. Disney has so much money, it's so sad that they are scared to "waste" a million a year to upkeep something. It makes me so sad.
I want to be in charge of Disney. Proove to them if they spend a boat load of money to make something truly unique the payoff will be so much greater in the long run. Sigh, such short sighted these days.

True I was a teenager back then. The feeling it gave me was a bit strange for a ride. It was kind of watching a movie...that was created by what I saw. One of the funny moment that I recall was the ''fighting tactics'' option and they set up for food fight =). Afterward the cute little kiss was really cute.packwingfn wrote:I miss Cranium Command too. That remind me of another attraction that is life is in danger that I am simply in LOVE with. The circle of life : an environmental fable. This is the true Disney spirit in my opinion. Behind a cool ride, there is knowledge that can be gained...not just a simple ride.
