How much scaling back is disney doing?

We went to Disneyland the week before Christmas and for Christmas Day thinking that would be a lot of fun for our family. We were Disneyland newbies and even though when people tried to warn us on the different forums we were just like teenagers and didn't listen. The first 3-4 days most of the time the wait was 60-90 min, which sucked because we had a toddler so I would always left my wife go on the rides and I would watch our son. As the days got closer to Christmas the waits got longer and finally on Christmas Day the lines were so long! They quit letting people in by 10 am because the park was at capacity. 3 hour waits for rides, my wife and 3 older children went on 2 rides and that was it. We were so done that we packed up and left for home. That had to have been the worst $3500 I had ever spent. So now we look for the slowest times and I know that it wont be real slow but hopefully nothing like what we experienced a 4 years ago.

you know, they have "Ride Swap" for those who have youngsters that either can't or won't go on the ride, but both parents can. You just tell a CM when you get to the front. one parent can go on while the other stays at the load site. once the first parent is through, the second can get right on while the first watches the child. a handy feature so you don;t have to wait "as long" and everyone (except the kids) can ride what they want...
