Out of all the resorts, I would have to say Poly is my favorite. However, due to being DVC members, we don't even consider it anymore since they don't have the villas. Although one could argue that location could compete with the amentities of a villa.

As far as the DVC resorts, I think each one has its draw. OKW will always be our first home away from home so has some great sentimental value but BCV and BWV are probably the tops on the list due to location, one person mentioned in another forum about not doing sitdown meals since the travelling to/from takes time away from the park but being in BW area is perfect for World Showcase meals.

Saratoga Springs Resort is also great, if you stay there, request one of the buildings across the lake from DD, the views are spectacular and keep you plugged in to the excitement down there.

We have not stayed at the AKV yet and do think about it every trip but just can't bear the thought of that bus ride to every other park from out there. It looks fantastic and would bet that their "extras" far outweigh the distance of being tucked away and hope we do plan to stay there someday.

Disney has many great hotels, but for me the Wilderness Lodge is at the top of my list. I've never found anything about it that I don't like.

I've got to say that I was (and to a degree still am) a big poly fan. We stayed there all the time as a family when I was growing up and nothing beat having a ground level room and waking up in the morning with the dew on the ground and little ducks patrolling out on the grass. I remember killing a lot of time going to Mona Mickey's Fun Hut and eating at the Snack Bar. Also, seeing the gigantic 12+ scoop ice cream sundaes that Captain Cooke's offered was awesome, though I don't think we ever got one. However, it seems to me that upkeep on the poly has really gone down hill over the past 10 years. It's a shame.

We also stayed a few times at the Beach Club which was really cool when they had the celebrity golf tourney (I got a picture with Charles Barkley and an autograph from Grant Hill).

All that said, my favorite now is the WL. :)

Continuing on the WL theme, one of my five year goals in life is to go to Disney during Christmas time and watch them decorate the WL. I hear it is amazing.

It IS pretty amazing. We've been at WDW on Thanksgiving week, and we were checking out the deco at some of the resorts.

I have never stayed at a Deluxe but my son really wants to stay at the Contemporary resport. We have stayed offsite many times but in the last two years we did CBR and POFQ.

POFQ was our favorite and we will be back! :P

I have to admit I really like the way the Port Orleans resorts looked. We've never stayed there but my wife and I resort hopped through there once. It looked amazing. Would of my favorite "someday" hotels.

My favorite is Beach Club. New England themed and EPCOT next door :mickey:

I've stayed at Port Orleans French Quarter, Riverside ( when it was Dixie Landings) Contemporary, and the Caribbean Beach.

Caribbean Beach is my favorite
