I think that photo is a press release photo from Disney - I received it in a Disney Blast email last month. It's an amazing photo and there is also one from Epcot.
That said, I'm a huge photo taker and love the memories - I think ya gotta do what works for you. For me, I enjoy "living" behind the lense and with digital candids are easier.

My sister and my WDW traveling companion, recently passed away and I can't express how much those video tapes of our trips in '01 and '03 mean to me. We had never had a video camera to use, and she had received one as a gift from her husband, we used it ALOT, and I am truly grateful

I try to take my pictures the second time around, like in IllumiNations, Wishes, or Fantasmic, so I never really feel like I miss out. However, it was my first time on the Disney Wonder last week, and I spent the whole fireworks show during the Pirates In the Caribbean Deck Party trying to get good pictures of the fireworks and totally missed the whole thing! I'm kind of bummed about that because it's a lot harder for me to go on the DCL than to WDW. I guess I've learned my lesson...

We do just that! We have over 30 hours of DVD and I cannot begin to count the photographs, but when I need a Disney fix I just trawl my favourite sites or look at my pics or DVD's.

Work with me here.
Hi Def, 60fps, Steroscopic (3-D), hat-mounted, forward-looking video camera with 2 hour record time. Dual mics for true stero sound. Lenses and mics are mounted so that they approximate the position of your actual eyes and ears. The rest of the unit is tucked into a fanny pack, backpack type of hands-free carrying device.
Anywhere you look, you can effortlessly take Hi Def video. Return home and plug it into a computer and with the appropriate software, you can freeze on specific frames to make multi-megapixal pictures. Or, of course, playback on your 60in Hi Def Plasma.
That's what I want!

I take lots of pictures. I'll fill up 3 1gig SD cards in a week. I don't ever feel like I miss anything. We love going over our pictures. We've seen our DS's grow up on property.

Tough call. I often "miss the moment" because I am taking a pic or filming. But my family gets to enjoy it first hand and I get to show it to them again, and again, later and it brings that memory almost back to life again, and again. But I do try to take in some "moments" myself. And the MK picture is great, all the arms up and shooting is pretty classic, not to mention the back packs!

Yes, after leaving Fantasmic during the springtime everyone was filing out of the theather and stopped in their tracks. I looked up and we saw what appeared to be a UFO! I was so shocked, my brother got a good look at it and took a picture but I was so awed that I didn't bother to take a picture...

This is actually a great topic. I always find that we never take enough pictures when we return home. We have a few nice shots, but overall, they're lacking. And then there's the camcorder. I lugged that thing all around last time and I got sick of it. It got to the point where I left it in the room the latter half of the week. But wouldn't you know it, that's when everything happened and I wanted it. Oh well, I guess you can never win.

I guess I can say that I couldn't have missed the magic. After 8 days I took nearly 2,000 pictures meaning if there was any magic, I have a life long memory of it!
