I'll say this is close to a #1 for me. Attraction-wise it's a little weak, but it does set the stage for your day in the MK. Things have changed a good bit over the years, but it still has a magic that can't be described very clearly. Everything from the ambiance to the smells (bakery) is one of my favorite parts of WDW. As Main Street USA unfolds before your eyes when coming out under the Main Street Train Station, it's just the right beginning.

its a bit biased cause its the first and last things you see at the Magic Kingdom...but i truly think we all long for the days when we were true neighbors. when people took pride in what they did. if we never had that life...we want it. we envy Andy Griffith in Mayberry. we all want that cool general store where we can buy a coke in a bottle and head down to the swimming hole with no care in the world except what mom might have fixed for dinner.

What's not to love about Main Street, except maybe the bottleneck it becomes just before or after an event. Great shops and junk food galore! I have to agree with some of the previous posters about the Main Street of old though. I do remember the shops being a bit more specific and not just repetitive merchandise lined up one after another. I enjoy the architecture and look of the whole area more than anything else, especially on the first day of a WDW vacation. You can't beat strolling down Main Street knowing that the entire day lies ahead of you and you don't have a care in the world. I like to think the Walt is smiling down on us at this point thinking, "you know fellas, I think we did a few things right here." :D

I gave it a 5 for the view down to the Castle and the theming. It has lost a lot of its appeal with the loss of individual stores (which hasn't effected how much I end up spending there!). I love the jewelry store and the fire station. Its also the starting point for the WDW Railroad which is still a nice relaxing trip. For me, Main Street creates the anticipation of the magic to come. I really enjoy hanging out here after the fireworks when the park starts to empty. This is a great time to appreciate the details of the area while waiting for the masses to make their way through the bus lines!

I really love Main Street, USA. This is where the magic hits you when you come into the park. I am a 4 here though. I cannot spend hours in any one section...I like variety.

I love Main Street USA as well. The mere fact that this part of the park is the manifestation of Walt's vision is why I love it. Town Square and the train station are gorgeous!

i love MS USA but I hate the fact it isn't 3 city blocks anymore. They connected them in the middle.

My husband and I LOVE Main St. I get the goose bumps and teary eyed when we enter the park! I love the look of it and the feeling we get when we're there. I know the stores are basically the same, but we love walking through each of them. And of course at the end of Main St. is the castle!!!! Main St. is the essence of MK.

I love every thing about main street, the music, the atmosphere, the architecture, the smell from the bakery, dapper dans - only one thing I don't like is the fact that they shut down the disney art shop on the left hand side just as you enter the park - apart from that perfect!

I love it, I feel that its great scenery on either side of the castle, its perfect for leading you up to the castle, I love shops, and its where some of the parades start. Its suppose to be a representation of the types of towns that Walt Disney grew up in( I heard that on one of those backstage tours). I wouldn't change a thing about it :!:

Nothing beats that feeling when you walk in and see Main Street with the castle at the end. You know you finally in Disney World. I'd love to retire and work in one of the shops!!!!! Disney all day and nite!!!!

During a visit when it was just my sister and I, and a very busy time on Main St. just before a parade. We stepped into the bakery, got some cookies, and while looking for what seemed like the impossible quiet place to relax and have a snack, we were getting a little tired of crowds at this point since it was the latter part of the trip, we found the perfect door stoop that was tucked in off Main St. by a couple of feet. I think it was just a door or two down from the bakery if your heading toward the castle. IT WAS LIKE ANOTHER WORLD! Believe it or not, it was quiet and peaceful, and a nice break. Some people walking by would glance in, and then take another look, surprised that anyone was in there
