It was pretty soiled and dirty last time I saw it so it's good to hear it got some love.

I agree but I also think that as I get older and my trips are more frequent, I have become more critical of things like this. When your a kid you don't notice or care about things like this but when your an adult and paying for it all you expect a certain degree of spit and polish and while it still exists, I think things are simply starting to show their age and that becomes more and more difficult to maintain without actually replacing everything and we all know that we DON'T want that.bostoncg wrote:This is one thing about the Disney of yesteryear, I never saw rides dirty, grungy or run down. Things were really bright and cheery. Back then someone actually cared about the parks!

I think that is true about showing their age, but I don't think they spit and polish or repaint as often as they used to. I was at DL in 2000 or 2001 (ha, I can't remember! ugh) and I noticed that things didn't seem as "bright" as I remembered and maybe you are right I was seeing it through my adult eyes and not that of the youngster that I used to be. I am going next month, so I will have to see how it isGhostHost wrote:... As the old saying goes 'Distance leads to enchantment'. Even if they hadn't cleaned up the ride I'd still love it (shabby or not). But I will look forward to it on our next tripand I noticed that things didn't seem as "bright" as I remembered and maybe you are right I was seeing it through my adult eyes and not that of the youngster that I used to be.

Wow, I was wondering on our last trip if they did some refurbing to PP. It did look much better, cleaner, brighter than I had remembered. One nice thing about it was it didn't stop during the ride-through either - I cannot say that for most of the other ride-through attactions in MK, I think 4 or 5 had considerable stoppages that were really taking away from the experience.
Stop your whining 99Soulz. You are going back again in November, correct? Would you be going if WDW wasn't the best? No, you wouldn't. So a ride or two stopped for a few seconds, deal with it and stop complaining already!99Soulz wrote:Wow, I was wondering on our last trip if they did some refurbing to PP. I love Peter Pan. I love Fantasyland. I could spend my entire vacation in the MK and probably not be too upset. Peter Pan is a ride that we ride several times during our stay.
