Hmmm.. Sounds like the same food court with the AllStart Movies menu screens.... sounds cool.

favorite ride

Post by bayouminnie » Mar Sun 13, 2005 5:22 pm

The Land has always been my favorite. I nearly had total heart failure in February when I found it closed. That is frightening...nobody likes change but a wet baby!!! I hated the restaurant after they changed it to what it is now, however my kids love it. We go there just as much as before, but it is not as satisfying for my husband and I. Our entire family misses the "listen to the land" song from before. We used to sing it all day!
I guess I am partial to the land because it helped me to realize my career choices had been based on other's beliefs. About seven years ago we were looking through photo albums and discovered my "chronicles of the land". I had taken so many photos of the land pavillion since its opening it filled half of our albums. Then we noticed many of the photos from the past consisted of plants and garden designs. I decided to change careers from sales management to Landscape Contractor and Horticulture Professional. I studied, took the tests, and "the rest is history".

wdw1090, please try and stay on topic. this thread is for post about The Land pavillion, not Mission: Space. If want to talk about how much you like M:S, please post here.

Since I haven't been on Mission Space yet, to have tosay my favorite ride is the Test Track, although I was sad to see the Wrold of Motion close. Also really liked old school Spaceship Earth with Cronkite, had great music at the end too.

Lots of neat photos on wdwmagic.com of the renovations performed on the Land pavillion!

In regard to the poll - Mission Space rocks! :D

Yeah - I'll certainly miss it too, at least they kept the balloons though! There is certainly some nostalgia in the new Land which is nice compared to what we've seen them do to other rehabs...

I really like Ellen and SSE.

About the Land, it's really too bad they took out the boat guides. The recording they put in really sucks a lot of the fun out of that attraction. :(

I guess they moved all of the guides to the Behind the Seeds tour, which is very good if you have the chance to do it.
