Had to vote WoM. I like Test Track, it's fun, but it doesn't have the same 'magic' quality to it that WoM had for me. I miss the long, animatronic-filled dark rides over the 'cheap' thrills. Cheap meaning things like the crash test part - 'oh no we'll hit the wall but we're SAVED at the last second, with no real re-rideability once you've seen how it pays off - rather than cheap like the ride is cheap. I think the ride is well done, for what it is; a fun mindless action ride.

side question...of those that think World of Motion is better...do you like or dislike the Jungle Cruise?

WoM in a landslide for me! I like Test Track, but WoM had the classic Epcot feel. I hate the fact that my kids never got to experience that ride.

One overlooked aspect with some of the original rides was no need for FastPass. Even long lines at WoM went fairly quick due to the continuous loading feature. With Test Track, the lines don't move as quickly and FastPass may be "sold out" by mid-morning on busy days.

Love the Jungle Cruise at night, like it during the day. The dark adds a lot to it, I think, in terms of atmosphere. Though having a bad/listless skipper will kill the ride at any time of day.

Out of curiosity, what made you ask this in relation to WoM vs. TT?

I can sort of see the similarities between the animatronics of Jungle Cruise and World of Motion.

i'm guilty of looking at the attractions for thier current appeal vs. nostalgia. and the thought of jungle cruise was cool to me when i was 8 and it was 1977. i may have to revisit since i neglected it last time in 2006 even though Spaulo told me i would be foolish to do so....i'm foolish.

I found WOM kind of boring actually...its a great kiddie ride, but I think Epcot really needed the thrill ride from Test Track. I found TT way more fun and interesting.

I think what they should have done for TT is had opening AA scenes like WoM that showed you a brief history of transportation and then when they got to the modern era they could have said something like, "...and now we'll take you out onto the Test Track so you can see how today's cars are tested so you can drive more safley..." but less cheesy sounding. :D

Does anyone know how much space TT actually uses inside the building? It seems much smaller than the area used for WoM. WoM was massive and TT is just a few rooms (granted one of the rooms is pretty big).

WoM by a long shot. TT is creative and interesting on its own but should never have replaced WoM. They had the space and would have been better off keeping WoM and adding TT as another Future World attraction... And I believe the core building is the same, WoM just used the space a lot better than TT with the monster rooms...

I have never been on Test Track but I LOVED the WOM! It was great.

If they did that, it would draw attention to the fact that Test Track is about the present and not the future at all, and it would have to be more of an interruption than a finale.

Horizons did the best job of this kind of storytelling...start with some interesting and amusing retro views of the future, then a really cool movie which doesn't steal the show but presents everyday things the guests are familiar with in an exciting way, then finishes with all the juicy stuff...the future!

The more I examine that ride, the more I respect the genius behind its design.
On the surface there is hunger and fear. Men still exercise unjust laws. They fight, tear one another to pieces. A mere few feet beneath the waves their reign ceases, their evil drowns. Here on the ocean floor is the only independence.

i dont even feel like this is a thrill ride....if you have ever been in a convertable with the top down it is the same feeling once you go fast...besides that it just a slow moving kiddie ride i feel.

Please! TT isn't even in the same league as WOM. WOM was classic Disney. It was giving the anamatronic love! I could ride TT anytime I want because I have a car. Is riding in a car while doing 65 really that much fun? Sometimes traffic on the interstate is averaging 80. Whoopie-friggin-doo.
