An actual scientist would be nice. Some of them, like NASA's Steve Squyres, have the minimum charisma necessary for something like that.

I would greatly prefer someone that's not a direct tie-in to some other Disney product, but I'm probably dreaming there.

If it has to be something like that, I'd prefer it to be something along the lines of Jeremy Irons, who doesn't plug the Lion King at all in Spaceship Earth.

Of course, Walter Cronkite's spiel was infinitely better, but what are ya gonna do?

The anonymous blogger of EPCOT Central... an "EPCOT Center '82" purist who is quite critical of acronymless "Epcot"... had this to say about the new Living with the Land:
I had read some speculation and a couple of "advance reviews" of the new incarnation of Living With the Land, and even made some derogatory comments about its lack of a human host. That was before I rode it. Living With the Land has genuinely been improved. The Audio-Animatronic and greenhouse sections of the ride flow smoothly together. The short film segment acts as a nice bridge between the two, and the greenhouse area is truly interesting and engaging.

I think Living with the Land has lost interest with the younger group (since I'm one of them). I think the older folks (no offense  ) won't care about a recording or a cast member gving the tour. Unlike like us Disney fans, we will object immediatly.
Do you think have enough time to go the bathroom before the next show?

No CM just a pre-recorded spiel.

Somewhere, I can't remember if it was on this forum or not, I read a post by someone who witnesseed a couple being quickly escorted away from the TTA after being caught on the hidden cameras engaging in acts that would not be considered suitable in a family friendly environment. You would think that with 30,000 or so hotel rooms on property, that privacy would not be in short supply. Perhaps they should have been in Adventurland rather than Tomorrowland!!

There have been cameras on the Peoplemover and TTA forever and people have been engaging in activities there since the attractions opened. It wasn't nick named by castmembers the "Peoplemaker" for nothing.

hahaha...

Think we would be surprised how many and where Disney has cameras. I know I spotted some at MGM last year that I never saw. They may have even more now due to 9/11.

Sure Mickey has an eye on every angle of the park, for security, and peoplemaking. :)
