King's Dominion?
You know you are a WDW nut when you keep guessing what "other" park someone else went to just because you like a challenge that comes out with Disney still being the best place to go?! (I think that works :? )

You gotta remember - not all theme-parks are trying to do Disney like Universal Studios. Six Flags, King's Island, King's Dominion - they definitely the Minor Leagues of Theme-Parks.

They sure do make you really appreciate Disney so much more when you go though!

mindflipper - Well, Kings Dominion definitely showed it! Lack of staff directing traffic on rides and the cleanliness was awful! We were in line for a roller coaster and got to a spot in line where someone had gotten sick and thrown up. It was nasty and everyone was trying to go around it. We went back to the same roller coaster roughly 4 hours later and it was STILL THERE. No excuse for that. There was another coaster we were waiting in line for (indoors in a stuffy, non a/c room) that reeked of throw up. This was half way through the queue so there was no where to go but stand there and smell it the whole time! Also, the trash (empty cups/straws/lemons) from the fresh lemonades and icees that they sell while you are waiting in line were laying around everywhere in the queues. Trash cans were overloaded and spilling on the ground from not being dumped at all during the day! You can tell that KD is run on a budget as it also didn't have lighting on most of the rides. One thing I love is seeing parks lit up at night and there was VERY limited lighting in this place.

All day I was comparing it to Disney. My DW starting rolling her eyes after awhile because she KNEW what I was going to say (she already knew that I am a Disney freak anyway). It made me start thinking about gate prices and even though they are pretty steep at Disney, I will continue to pay it because of the service and care you get while there.

That sounds pretty awful NaCler!
I won't go to Six Flags anymore, it's dirty and a waste of my time! Nothing compares to Disney!!! :D

I guess it was my fault as they were running a special where everyone pays the kids rate. So we got in for $36 per ticket. I guess if you pay HALF of Disney's price then you get half of the experience as well. Won't make that mistake again. That's a shame as it has some fun rides.

You know you are a WDW nut when you are trying out aol's game of the day ~ mahjong 3D and notice how similar the music is to the old Journey Into Imagination's pavilion!
