Re: Fantasyland Expansion...
There's been a lot of changes since Oct 2004; if you didn't want to wait until after the Fantasyland Expansion (which could now be 2013), there's still a lot new there (well, new to you) for you to see and experience...

Re: Fantasyland Expansion...
So sorry about your sister Sharonofwindham. I hope you are able to make it back to Disney soon!

Re: Fantasyland Expansion...
Dumbo's Storybook Circus area is slated to open Spring next year followed by the Beauty and the Beast and Little Mermaid areas sometime that year (late Summer or sometime in the fall from what I'm hearing) and the Dwarfs Mine Train is looking like an opening in 2013.mindflipper wrote:There's been a lot of changes since Oct 2004; if you didn't want to wait until after the Fantasyland Expansion (which could now be 2013), there's still a lot new there (well, new to you) for you to see and experience...

And when we find someone whose
Weirdness is compatible with ours,
We join up with them and fall in
Mutual weirdness and call it Love.”

What about Toy Story Midway Mania? The updated Haunted Mansion (which went through 2 upgrades since 2004)?

Good point! And there are other "2.0"'s since 2004 as well: the new China 360 film and the new Canada 360 film at EPCOT. Both films 2.0 started after 2004.MadEye wrote:Don't forget the new Star Tours.mindflipper wrote:What about Toy Story Midway Mania? And the Mexican boat ride had it's 2.0 version as the Gran Fiesta Tour. That also started after 2004.
Re: Fantasyland Expansion...
UPDATE: The current Dumbo is scheduled to close on January 9th 2012 and reopen in its new spot in Storybook Circus area on February 18th 2012. No word on if this means The Great Goofini (formerly Barnstormer) or the new train station will be open then as well.

Re: Fantasyland Expansion...
Wow ~ that is a long downtime for a popular ride such as Dumbo...MadEye wrote:UPDATE: The current Dumbo is scheduled to close on January 9th 2012 and reopen in its new spot in Storybook Circus area on February 18th 2012. It is during one of the best times (if not the best) for less crowds. True it is a popular ride but it is the best time to do it, IMHO.Amy wrote:Wow ~ that is a long downtime for a popular ride such as Dumbo...MadEye wrote:UPDATE: The current Dumbo is scheduled to close on January 9th 2012 and reopen in its new spot in Storybook Circus area on February 18th 2012. True, they are moving it during a fairly slow time.MadEye wrote:It is during one of the best times (if not the best) for less crowds. Oh no! Thanks for the heads up, my mom has wanted to ride this attraction for some time, but every time she has been there, the line has been crazy! We'll have to make sure she gets on that before it closes down!!! I think she wants to ride it b/c it reminds her of when I was a child and they took me to WDW, for nostalgic purposes.

At least they're making progress! Slowly everything is starting to take shape...MadEye wrote:UPDATE: The current Dumbo is scheduled to close on January 9th 2012 and reopen in its new spot in Storybook Circus area on February 18th 2012. In the photo with the Beast's Castle at least there's that guy to the far right in the picture because he helps give some referential scale to the size. It looks small, but when compared to the size of the nearby man, it's actually larger than I thought...
